The Next Mortal Kombat from the eyes of a casual player...

Hi, i'm 25 and i used to be a fan of Mortal Kombat games, i remember having codes and codes handwrited in my school books about MK1 and MK2, dueling my best friends on Genesis or SNES and having the best of time...
If you're around my age, you can all remember the controversy surrounding that game, when we used to live in a world without violent videogames and non realistic looking characters...
But ..MAN MK was awesome back then! EVERYONE PLAYED IT...
Now! i'm not saying the new MK's are bad, but it's less of a popular games... It's not having the impact Halo 3 has now for the new generation of players..
So what i'm saying is simple, restart the madness!! Get the franchise back to zero...
The game should just be called : Mortal Kombat
Give it a puppet/human realistic look, realistic reaction (characters swiping blood from their mouth after a big hit, different ways to get back up, characters getting arms or legs broken.. etc..) Make them talk more, with nice voice acting...
Less characters but more way more structured, (Id' go with the characters every casual player knows and remembers) Lots of unlockables and secrets..
Make the game way more casual and classic, no weapons, no scorpions clones..(the red one.. the yellow one, the pink one.,. the white one...)
And keep it 2d with a splash of 3d..
Anyway that's just my 2 cents.. sorry for my spelling i'm french canadian

yup, something fast paced, very gory and realistic...
Have you guys ever played CONAN for the 360 or PS3? The game is 18+ and it didnt stop them making the game, and i'm sure it's selling well, it's my favorite game so far on the PS3.. there's nothing like cutting people in half with a 10 foot sword !! It's so violent i've never seen a game with that much gore and blood.. and i liked it... It made me feel "alright! Oh yeah that's no mustache plumber fireball thrower game!"
@LycaniLLusion : I think if they make like 60 characters.. at least don't make clones of them... a purple ninja girl.. a blue ninja girl.. HOW ORIGINAL! I like the fact that the characters evolved from the first games.. have scorpion fight with no mask on.. same for reptile... .. anyway that's just my oppinion..Id like them to return to the roots....

Well i think they should keep their name, and have the Original Seven in.

totally agree with you,except for the graphic.
