MKD has too many ninjas.

Only they took away the "ninja" status on all of them but Scorpion. So insted of lookin exactly the same (exept for the colour) they are now a bunch of cool and diffrent characters!

They're still ninjas. Different looking ninjas are still a bunch of ninjas. Maybe that's really awesome to you, but I'm not exactly a huge fan of ninjas. They're ok....but not "we need like 6 ninjas!". I mean I like Stryker but I'm not pushing for 6 different cops in MKD.

I get your picture... I like the ninjas even though they are not all ninjas anymore. They came upp with tight different storys and made them look diferent! As far as I see it Stryker is probalby the worst character ever to have been in MK. Since you like him thats probably why you dont like all the ninjas.

I think Sub-Zero said it best "Let's get one thing straight. Scorpion is a ninja I am Lin Kuie." I think the reason people got sick of the ninjas is because they put too many at once. They had vague storylines and pretty lame powers. The origonal five were good enough: Sub, Scorpion, Reptile, Noob, and Smoke. (Please keep your mouth shut on the whole pallet swap thing about Smoke. Noob was exactly the same, as well as Reptile.) Now that these warriors have different looks aswell as specificly fine tuned powers, it makes them more bareable. Plus, they were all assassins, not ninjas. The whole motif was just convinient to keep their secracy.

Reptile is no longer a ninja.
Smoke is no longer a ninja. Smoke is just a fighter made out of smoke now.
Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Ermac and Noob are the only ninjas in MKD. That's only 4, so if Rain was added he would make 5.
I say Rain would be a good addition. Definitely would love to see his look and his moves in 3-D.

I think Smoke examplifies the true meaning of a ninja. Through out the entire franchise, he had the most realistic ninja moves. Especially now, since he's ethereal. A ninja's purpose is to strike silently and without warning. What better way then to sneak up behind an opponent as a low layer of smoke, solidify then break their neck?

Smoke never had his own moves, it's Scorpion if anything who is the real ninja. And sorry but none of the ninjas had any moves that resemble real ninja moves.
I will admit now Smoke does have the abilities of what ninjas prefer, but with looks? No way, his outfit is nothing like a ninjas. Boots with steel tips, leather looking play boy pants and a mask which nothing a ninja would wear unless it was for some ritual.

Scorpion is the only ninja!!! Reptile is.. wel a reptile. Sub Zero is Lin Kuei together with Smoke. Ermac is a bunch of souls. Rain is a general or something in Edenia. Noob-Saibot is/was part of "The Broother Hood of Shadows" and an assasin.

I like all the ninjas, i think its cool that they are separating all the looks. Just because they are all quote on quote NINJAs, doesnt mean they are the same character (for duke who made the Stryke remark). I agree about Reptile I wish they kept him more human looking.

Thats true... hehe Wel i guess me beeing unhappy with the deal with Noob/Smoke as one chartacter should bee happy they have 3 more of the "ninjas"! Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Ermac!! And yea Reptile... the thing in MK5 was his face.. didn look raptor at all... froggy frog.

Well Reptile and Smoke are not ninjas. So it's only 5 like I said before. If you're counting Smoke as a ninja just cause he wears a mask ,then we have way more ninjas in MK.

A mountie would be pretty cool. For his fatality his horse could come out and trample the opponent.

I like the ninjas, cause there not just 6 ninjas, that jump around with swords, there 6 diffrent charecters with the best backgrounds and distictive special moves, and its Martial Arts, the fact is the best would probally be asian, and if outworld they still dress like ninjas, then who cares, but the new outfits are nice, they shouldn't have gotta rid of the old ones thought
