What the heck there's player tournaments out there, and fatalitiy tournaments out there. Why not have one on a ARENA. Ok it's simple I need 4 Judges. Rules are easy its not the same rules as pick 2 and best one wins. 5 random arenas will be picked there will be 4 groups best 4 in each group move on. I'm hoping for atleast 20 or 25 entries. Best of luck to you all. NOW BE CREATIVE.

You'll be Judge on idea, creativity, unique ness, and the history of the arena.

Cool idea, at least now we have a tournament for all the categories (I think, unless another one starts up). This one should get really creative and interesting.

I like the idea, mainly cause i had a character tournament, and i was the creator, (trying not to sound great), If you would like, I could be a judge, if you want to check the tournament, it is somewhere on this page, called MK online Tournament 1st edition.

Well, if you want, i could enter an arena just to help get things going, so that others can enter theirs. So here is a brief version.

Warhell Grounds
Huge Open landscape with a lot of room to fight on, captures a circular form of an arena, and along the outside borders, gun turrets lay calmly rusted for blasting away, lava surrounds the outside, while a wall barricades them inside, but the wall isn't going to last for long, after a while, the wall slowly melts away causing the lava to sip and fill the whole arena up in whole, but not to worry, before this happens there are emergency stairs created in case such a disaster occurs, these stairs lead you up, NO, DOWN,sarcasm,
upstairs your battle takes place while the lava fills up and just halts precisely at a point below the 2nd level. But now, the new area you've entered, the floor is made up of solid stones glued up which is pretty fragile, but not easily breakible, it takes some time, and if the fight takes a long time, get ready for a draw, and down goes London Bridge. At the 2nd level, there are chains hanging from pillars from high above, so that you can use it as a weapon and chuck em towards your opponent, and also you can use em to hang on and jump towards your opponent and launch an aerial attack, you could also use your weapon and struggle to break the chain's support so that the chain is nonusable, mainly because, it could be annoying, and it would remove the only way to escape the breaking platform ground which puts you right in the lava, yes, you can use these chains to hang on to them, and stay there, but you can't stay on em forever, your character will eventually begin slipping and losing grip, and if kept at it repetitively, loss of blood is possible, so, just before the platform falls off, you can jump and cling on to the chains above, and whoever can get a grip on first, survives, instead of a draw. You can also have a different version for the arena, where the main purpose is to get to the highest point of the level to grab the medallion of teleportation so that you can escape all the tidal disastrous flames of war. So, once you get to the chains you have to climb them up and get to the very top.( ...continued)

Death Dome:

An iron cage surrounds a stone floor. Spikes jut into the fighting area from all sides of the cage(they will cause minor damage when knocked into).
Around the outside of the cage is four collumns made of bones and skulls. Atop the cage is a giant four-sided skull. Each mouth of the skull drips acid into the cage.

Stage Fatal:
(Must be under a skull's mouth to do this)
An opponent is knocked into the air and their head is impaled on a spike. One of the giant skull's mouth begins to spill acid all over the opponent until all that is left is a skeleton stuck to the spike.

How many arenas can be entered by one person, One or could there be two? Because I have two. They are the ones I created for my characters Tai Tsung (from Brodeur Tourny) and Gabrielle.

This is the arena i created for Scythe my custom rouge character that brodeur kicked from his tourney sad (dammn you bro!!!!grin).

Edenian Prision.

The fight takes place in the yard of an old edenian prision, the yard has in the middle a little pyramid like structure surrounded by four pillars with torches where executions are held as well as tortures, there is a guy with a black mask on the top of it with a table full of sharp and poity instruments. on the surroundings of the arena, you could see hmdreds of cells full of insane and maniac criminals from all over the universe. You can see hundreds of mutant creatures, humanoids, and even mechs cheering up for the fight and willing to beat the fuck outta you. Of course you can see in the floor (desertic like) blood stains, and parts of bodies. Some of the tiers in the arenas include:

you can knock your opponent through walls and inside inmmates cells, the deathtrap of this stage would be to get knocked of to the torture table whe you will be tortured by the insane guy woth the black mask. Finally the stage Fatality would be to get thrown into the cell or pit of some cannibal maniacs where you will be eaten alive

I hope you liked it. Cheers grin

Cool then here are mine:

Deserted Castle of Ancient Edenian Warlords:

Tai's Stage is an abandoned OLD Castle that she found in the aftermath a Edenia's initial destruction at the hands of Shao Kahn when He invaded. There is only torches on the wall for light and It's kind of got debris all over the place, It's structure is so weak that If a strong enough wind blows, the castle begins to shake. Every now and then a piece of the ceiling will fall sometimes hiting the players....For a Deathtrap if you knock your opponent through the wall with a rather regal looking crest on it, On the other side of the wall the opponent gets attacked and then torn apart by the spirits of the past owners of the castle for violating their home.

And Second:

Edenian Embassy Courtyard -

Gabrielle's stage is the Edenian Embassy Courtyard. You can be knocked inside the Embassy by the SW wall of the building. If you remain Outside you can be knocked to the lower level of the courtyard (You initially start out on a large balcony attached to the courtyard. Once you get to the actual courtyard the fighter will have to contend with would-be assassins in the woods sourrounding the Embassy throwing things like knives, and bombs at them. the knives take little damage, but if you do not move in time one of the bombs will take a large protion of energy. There are two death traps....Outside if a figher is knocked into a spot light that moves around the NE corner of the courtyard the fighter will be taken out by Sniper fire. If you have been knocked inside the Embassy there is a door that is marked "Embassedor's Office" If the opponent is knocked through this door a bomb goes off as there was a bomb placed in the office in an assassination attempt on Gabrielle's father. The opponents limbs fly about and there is blood everywhere.

Hey TomTaz, i'm sure that Tai has plenty of fans, and she's not the only one who has plenty of fans, I'm sure you have too. :)

Alright guys, let's get this tourament going, we need more arenas to help this tourney go on.
If you don't have any arenas, i'm sure you could make up one in a couple of minutes just like i did to the one above, i didn't have one planned, but i just came up with it out of nowhere, so go ahead give it a try, who knows where it could stand, it doesn't hurt to try, unless we make some kinds of rules for that! Haha Judging Rules, i mean rules of judging, actually i mean them in both ways, the rules of judging, and yea Judging Rules!

P.S. But I still love to submit ideas, i'm sure i'll do that some more, i should create some of my own threads so that i can increase my status. The thing is that, dp's should be given not just for thread openers and early thread followers, but to specific posts later on in threads as well, You Moderators should consider opening up to this feature.

Thanks Brodeur that's nice of ya to say. But I think your overestimating my popularity, at least I think so. But the few fans of my work that I do have I'm grateful for, believe me. grin
Also, I was talking to tgrant earlier today, and he said that he may be joining this tourny with a stage too, so he MAY post one soon.

Tai Tsung: She's what's for dinner!

Seriously, it looks like a small religion is starting to form around her. Nothing bad about that, though!

Anyway, without further ado, here are my two arenas made a while back, for two characters I've created (but you can't see either of them until another character tournament - nyaah nyaah!) - Vortex and Kilvan.

The Locust Fields

Story:

Outworlders, like Humans, need food, and like us, they derive a great amount of sustenance from wheat-based products such as bread. It is obvious that they too, have a series of farms and plains where such granaryis harvested. But again, like us, they have a problem: Crop vermin.

In one of Outworld's northern farmlands, close to five years ago, an immense plain existed, wheat stretching out as far es the eyes could see. It was one of Outworld's few attractive sites, and despite the fact that they performed labor for Kahn's benefit, the captured Edenians that were forced into slavery here found the scenery better than most. What was more, the supply was plentiful, so none ever starved, unlike the cituations so familiar in the Emperor's cobalt mines. The Edenians worked well, and for the most part, were treated well by the guards stationed there, who also enjoyed the peace and tranquility presented by the environment.

That all changed on one day. A migrating swarm of omnivourous Hive Locusts, one of Outworld's most infuriatingly resilient of insectoid vermin, deviated from its migration course and came into view of the fields.

Disaster occurred. The swarm descended like an immense dark cloud, and instantly began to feed. The laborurers and guards fought a helpless battle against the quickly reproducing locusts that lasted for a full month, and finally retreated when their ranks had been thinned out too far by the swarm's flesh-eating tendencies.

For five years, the swarm has replicated and remained here, still in the proceess of consuming the grain. The entire area was decreed a hazard, off-limits to all, under the order of Shao Kahn. But with his fall, and the Dragon King's newfound reign, the fields have been reopened, and small numbers of his vast army have been charged with the task of eradicating the swarm, the King's intention being to reuse the land. All attempts are failing.

Description:

A lone round platform high above the surface of the soil is the battleground. It was from here that the Outworld guards supervised the work taking place below. More like it can be seen in the distance.

The surrounding atmopshere below is horrid. The swarm of locusts (and the occasional Rotfly), being low-flying creatures, is so thick that the ground below can no longer be seen from this height. All that is visible is a writhing, seething mass of grey.

The sky above is dark, almost midnight blue, every now and then a high-flying pest circles overhead. A large, sickly, glowing full orange moon shines in the sky, chasing away the small pink trails of dusk that lurk at the horizon.

The arena is composed of but one level, the round battleground.

Obstacles: none

Weapons:

Whip (2): For those rare occasions when the Outworld guards had to use discipline on the workers. Located near the centre, and close to the edge.

Hazards: As one moves closer to the edges, they are assaulted by several of the locusts that can fly at higher altitudes than the rest.

Deathtrap:

If one is unlucky enough to be ejected from the battleground, a sure death is all that awaits. The victim will be assaulted during free-fall by a moving stream of the swarm, his tissues in the process of being stripped from his body as he screams, and upon impacting with the ground, the corpse will be assaulted and stripped of its remaining flesh within seconds, leaving only a skeleton.

Sick City

Story:

There are, of course, popular centers for commerce and trade in any great civilization, and Outworld is no exception. However, under Shao Kahn's despotic reign, one in particular flourished. Its true name lost to the mists of time, it is now known commonly as what apparently started as an affectionate nickname: Sick City.

Outworlders the world around flock here to buy, sell, barter and exchange goods. Slavers, assassins, safeholders, prostitutes, slaughterhouses, information brokers, all can be found here. There is no service one cannot request, nothing that cannot be purchased, if one has the right amount of capital.

Description:

The battes begin in the town's square, where the rabble has gathered to watch, and gamble on the outcome. Some throw bottles and rotten fruits at their reviled fighter, in an attempt to encourge the winner.

Characters can be knocked through nearby walls into adjacent buildings, one a brothel (where a group of hookers scatter once their idle chatter has been interrupted), another a torture chamber, with a great pit of spikes whirling below.

Obstacles: Name it. Towers, pillars, fleeing citizens, there's a lot to get in your way here.

Weapons:

Strewn all about this imense arena are weapons of all variety. Whips, warhammers, meat cleavers and thoraxes abound, if you know where to look (behind a weapons vendor's stand, etc.)

Hazards: Certain onlookers will throw rocks and glass at your fighter if you get too close to them.

Deathtrap:

If knocked into the slaughterhouse, death is certain for any who should be send screaming into the spiked pit in the center of the room...or into thw whirling blades which adorn the walls.
