The Official MK Deception Stages List

In this thread, we compile all known MKD stages for reference. Feel free to add something or correct something that I said. smile

Arcade Mode Stages:
----------------------

Sky Temple
A towering temple with weather effects such as lightning and rain. You can fall off the sides of the temple and reach new areas
Deathtrap rumored to be falling to your doom off the edge of the temple

Nether Belly
Inside the Nethership, with swinging corpse that can be hurled at your opponent.

Tower
A very high tower in the valleys surrounded by sharp rocks. The tower starts falling apart every now and then in the fight
Deathtrap is falling off the edge of the tower and getting impaled by a sharp rock below.

Beetle's Lair
Rumored to be Quan Chi's new palace. If you come close to certain areas, bugs will attack you
Deathtrap rumored to be eaten alive by bugs if you break a red tablet

Ying Yang Beach
Set in an unknown beach that keeps changing from peaceful summary to a dark and evil
Deathtrap rumored to be drowing in the waters of the beach or eaten by the giant snakes

Prison
Set in an unknown prison with forgotten MK fighters inside prison cells in the background.
Deathtrap is be squashed between 2 spiked walls

Crystal Chamber
Contains a massive green crystal in the center that has a giant sword embedded into it. The floors of the entire chamber are made of breakable glass.

Hell's Foundry
Not much is known apart from the fact that it has a molten steel deathtrap.
Deathtrap is getting burned by molten steel then crushed by a massive weight.

Slaughterhouse
Not much is known apart from the fact that it has a giant meat grinder for a deathtrap
Deathtrap is a massive meat grinder that shreds you to pieces

Ying Yang Beach level and the Snake level are the same. The beach and palm trees are part of the peaceful stage of the level and the snakes are part the evil stage of the level.

Also there is a stage that was featured in the PSM magazine. It was a beautiful greenish/blue-ish japanese designed structure with an equally beautiful and colorful circular courtyard. Any idea on what the level is called or what it is?

(Quan Chi's inner sanctum was used as a filler in the early stages and will most likely not appear in Chess Kombat smile)

You can tell there the same level, it shows it in screen shots and in one of the videos from gamespot, trust me, there the same level.

they are definately the same level... the palm trees turn into the serpents and it gets dark and stormy.... cruise ship turns into netherbelly ship etc.... yin/yang effect.....

Netherbelly is the hull of the Nethership, and in the PSM magazine that came out a while back there was a picture caption that read...

"Hey hardcore MK fans - Recognize this ship?"

whats the story behind the ship exactly? Doesn't it belong to SHang Tsung and he uses it to transport earth warriors to the outworld? whay is it in Deception?

Maybe Shang Tsung has to team up with the Earthrealm warriors like Sonya to help stop the DK

cuz that kinda puts a big ? on the topic of closing off the portals to Earth (supposed to be Hsu Hao's job or something)

1)In the GameSpot Gameplay Footage 2, Scorpion kicks Baraka into the red table, and spiders leave, but the fight continued. No Death Trap.

2)The Stage is called The Red Dragon Temple

Also in the crystal chamber if you look at the bottom level there seems to be a big blade grinder under the fighters possiable stage fatality?

It's multi-layered.

I saw drawings of it somewhere (I think?).

You probably saw it in the recent Game Informer.

Also, that weapon in the "crystal chamber" - whatever it's called - is the Thoraxe. It was in one of the screenshots posted on MKO.

dont forget in the gameinformer mag it has the colored sketch for an ice level which features breakable floors and a an ice wyrm deathrap at the bottom of all the levels, as well as the "collapsing" stage where the outer areas of the ring fall away as the match proceeds making the ring smaller and smaller
