I didn't read all of your post (too much), but I did see your comment about Ermac. All I can say is, "HOW"? How can you possibly say that?
Atari said that YOU blocked after a missed Ground Pound with Ermac (meaning that Atari jumped it). Why are you asking when HE did it? You don't read things.

Ohh so now the "personal bias" on here carries over to "lag" against me as well right when I win right?....humor me
I WAS in fact dealing with lag as well, don't give me that one sided bs...

Hey MKF, Atari said that you blocked right after you missed with a Ground Pound with Ermac (meaning that Atari jumped). So why did you ask him when he did it?
Were you paying attention?

Chaos - you saved me a paragraph about that Ermac ground pound - thanks.
MKLegend - Ermacs ground pound is extremely unsafe and its 50/50 is no where near as effective as it was in MKD. At least for me. The technique you talk about you're using, I used in MKD. Like levitate and purposely miss the dart kick into a buffered tele slam worked great in MKD. I dont use it in MKA because people usually flip out of my teleslam. You used it and were able to land it...that was a timing issue on my part because Im damn well aware of it. I "tap block" often to to avoid what I anticpate, but with lag, I miss time it. Thats when I adapt and hold block.
I do use it when the connection allows me to....mostly ground pound after a plant....but most times people recover fast enough to jump forward....and when they do, they punish me. Not you. You block. Geeze.
So vs. our connection, levitate?... no thanks. I had to adapt remember. That includes not doing anything risky or offensive, especially levitation or his Axe teleslam combo. Even though I know how to do it.
**Whenever I talk about Air Combos, I talk about the LISTED combos that appear in move list....not any glitches...when those LISTED attacks dont work in the air....I have a problem. Once again, not 33 or Air Cancels, just the listed moves. You block them and land and punish me. Thats MKA Online at its greatest.
Still - Great games.

The levitation is easy to avoid just so you know man, the BEST way to dodge it is to jump back, play it safe literally. What most people don't realize is that by charging me or jumping towards me, I'll just nail you with the dart kick. Lag or not, this tricks works online as well as offline. I've done it.
Yeah, well as far as anything in "the air" noticed my game is 100% air free with the exception of jump kicks....
I play this way against everyone, despite the connection to play it safe since MKA plays poorly online unfortunately so yeah you're better off staying to the ground game, you have a solid one personally IMO good enough, you don't need anything in the "air" to win if you ask me, unlike some other players that rely on just air tactics, some players don't need that to win I firmly believe.
There have been occassional times when "lag" plays a role and I MIGHT be able to get out of the GP ermac however, the opponent also has to be fast as well, if they're not fast enough then that gives the other player(me in this case) time to buffer/wake up into a jump kick or move. This tactic has been in virtually all MK's since the 2D's if you know what I'm referring too. Not everyone can do it as well but some characters can literally jump after they get knocked down(eazy seems to be a master at this in MKA) or buffer into a move which I've done with Kabal's flahs, Ermac's lift etc, etc.
When there's lag involved it's always a bit messy, just want to let you know atari that I'm sure you felt lag, I also dealt with some lag issues on my own at times.
Like you said, both of us have to adapt in that situation....
@ chaos, don't take this the wrong way but the match was between atari and myself, you weren't there so you can't really judge. If you want to judge about our matches connection wise on your side, different story but please don't try to assume how "my connection" was/is if there's lag in general against another player.
You should know by now MKA plays poorly online, lag happens and effects both players in this game.

Wow - I cant imagine ME EVER being safe vs ANYONE after Ermac Ground pound. Goodness. What kind of connection are you running over there?
I do notice a pattern vs certain people when they are RIDCULOUSLY safe. It's when I whiff the first hit of any combo completely as they recover giving them enough time to block 2nd or 3rd follow up hits...this happens to me often..... I think thats why you thought you were being really "tricky" with his levitation dart kick/ground pound....minor adjustments on my part, next time I wont bother to counter with a dail combo....just a low poke or something.
Yes, vs you , I adapted and scratched mostly anything I would do normally when you are in the air. This includes following up pop up attacks with a basic ground dail. I replace it with a simple D+2 (uppercut) with most characters.....so when D+2 whiffs, you can understand my fustration with online play.
*** I do agree, both players may experience lag, but it is not on equal levels. There seems to ALWAYS be some sort of advantage for one player.....some are minor and go unoticed, others its more evident, but when playing Easy, minor anything, youre screwed. And me vs Easy its MINOR nonsense, like abilty to flip away/how often deep kicks make contact and being able to pefrom CERTAIN Air Cancles. Still, its annoying and its why I cant bring myself to play competitively. I just play for style points mostly. Like playing Project Gotham Racing not to win, but gain Kudos. Kind of fucked up, but thats what Im reduced to.
Where is Easy anyway - hope all is well with dude cause I havent seen him on in weeks.

Yeah, haven't seen much of him lately...perhaps he's finally getting tired of MKA or is just busy.
On the lag issue, yeah man it's tough to tell how it works with certain players. Eazy seems to tough to play against, fun but tough between his connection and the fact that he's a good player. The good player I have no problem with if only I was able to counter him like veryone else lol. It seems a few players have connection issues with him, you being one of them it happens..
The lag advantage thing is tough to detect IMO, take the Red series vs. Me. He claimed I had a "lag edge" yet that's not true because on my screen he was literally in mid air doing dashes with Kabal LOL...we all know just a sign on MKA's crazy online play at times...so I had to find a way to adapt to that.
My connection is high speed btw, most here have some kind of high speed but as you can see doesn't make much of a difference in most cases.
BTW, dude you have a DS? UMK3 comes out next week, figured I'd ask you just in case you wanted matches man.

I honestly don't remember...these matches happened like a week+ ago. I remember he picked Ermac a few times and so did I at times weird shit happened on his end as well as mine.

MKLegend - I think chaos is expecting you to respond to HIS question. You didn’t read my intial gg's post thoroughly enough to understand it completely and responded inappropriately. He wants to know why you did this and apparently keep doing so. lol.
I pick every character twice. So you saw Ermac twice. Didn’t notice? I do that because I don’t like counter picking and it is a way to assure my opponent I won’t counter pick them. Win or lose, I use the same character again and then off to someone else.
Id prefer if others did this also, except alternate the selection so that its not the same match up twice...character selection would look like this.....
{Sindel} vs. Kabal ..... first match isn’t part of the pattern ....
{Sindel} vs. (Ermac)
Kai vs (Ermac)
Kai vs. Sub Zero
Jinko vs. Sub Zero
Jinko vs. ect.....you should get the idea

EXACTLY, Atari.
MKF, I don't care what happened in your matches with Atari. It means absolutely nothing and it interests me NONE.
I'm simply pointing out an example of what you ALWAYS DO! Atari made a comment and YOU replied to it in a completely ill-advised manner.
He said that YOU blocked right after an Ermac Ground Pound. Then YOU asked him when HE was Ermac...
I'm just saying that you prove my point that you don't pay attention to what others say and you ramble on about stuff that has no place in the discussion. Period.

GG's B Wizz. You took me by suprise. I definatly can't use any of my non-polished characters against you. Sorry for abruptly leaving, I had to go. Let me know when your normally on.
Hey guys ever since I upgraded to 6 Mb/s there is seriously NO LAG on Xbox. There's still a little on PS2. I just wish I could use the PS2 controller.

What are you talking about? I just told you I DON'T remember, not sure what part of that you don't understand.....
Blocking after a ground pound? I never did that...I JUMPED and some how managed to avoid getting hit, unless I jumped, avoided the GP then Blocked....which I've done but as I said before...you can wake up into a jump if you're fast enough that and there was lag at times so I'm sure that was part of it. A couple of times Atari was jumping around my screen which wasn't normal but no need in complaining about it because" MKA lags badly" so at this point I don't see any point in anyone complaining if they still play this game online.
I do pay attention, you just aren't satisfied with the answers I give you. I knew this way back when I explained in vivid detail to you about UMK3 in a couple of threads on here, you acted as if I wasn't specific enough yet I even posted facts...
Then again this has nothing to do with you so why are you even chatting about this chaos? Don't mind me asking?

*Wow, if you're able to safely back flip after a ground pound, even better. Amazing. I swear I would be elite if I could do stuff along those lines. Blocking after a ground pound? Sure, I understand the matches arent fresh since they were a week or two ago, but nope....definately blocked my counter after Ermac Ground Pound.
Like I said in a previous post, sometimes when I attempt to counter after my opponent does something that is NO WHERE NEAR SAFE, the first or second hit of a dail combo goes completely through them and doesnt register. This allows my opponent to just simply hold block after certain specials....very annoying. I ASSUME this was the problem because it happened vs others.
I understand safe jumping all around/ safe back flip/safe throws/no air combos/safe parries....I deal with that ALL the time..... maybe you experienced some of what I had to adapt to.......but Ermac Ground Pound? Now thats good ole MKA online nonsense.
Not complaining, I said I can deal with it, I just wont counter with a combo, just D2 and if that whiffs, Ill try to low poke.... I'll adjust my gameplay.....If I have to, Ill take the little bit of damage given when my opponent is blocking my attacks and run around/flip/side step playing tag until the timer expires.....Ill find away to compete.

I know man, I don't believe you're complaining just want to let you know a few things as well from my end.
As I said before you were also doing some "crazy shit" against me at times as well but I just adapted....was it easy? hell no but it's either that or quit....and I didn't want to quit, it wasn't nearly that bad IMO.
There were also some times one moment you were next to me, then far away some how....or I remember lol this other time you jump kicked me from full screen and on my screen I was turned around into a corner...now how that happens puzzles the shit out of me LMAO...but hey sometimes weird stuff happens. So there were at times unfair advantages for the both of us, at different times too apparently. The stuff I'm referring to was with some Kabal matches and one Ermac match.
But yeah I only picked Ermac 3 times, the rest I mixed up Dairou(once), Jarek, Fujin, Reptile, Kabal and Sheeva etc

I have never played that game before. I don't know anything about it. I wish the graphics were updated a bit. After playing in the 3d realm I feel like I am switching to a cardboard theme. F'ing aweful feeling.

owweee, WOw so you're the "only guy in the world or on here that has a GF" you're special...
Dude, if it's the girl you were with not for nothing but I've seen and have had offers from much better looking girls....
You act as if you're dating Kerri Hoskins or Jenna Jameson...please
BTW, so I don't have a GF...? your point?
I have no interest right now in a relationship nor go out of my way to get one. I know I can, I just don't care for one right now. I'd rather hang out and have fun with my friends.

There was no clear winner during that series. We were pretty evenly matched throughout each game. I had a really hard time against your Sheeva, Fujin and Scorpion. Conratulations on making Fujin a formidible opponent! His range is much further than I realized lol! I copied your 31% combo when I used him by the way
. Sorry about the intermission, I needed to change my son's diaper and put him back to bed. Thanks for being patient.
I wanted to use a wide variety of characters last night, you gave me the opportunity to do so. Occasionally, I play on the PS2 when XBL is dead. Most of the jerks on the PS2 are KAK players who quit after you own their KAK, so it's a rare opportunity for me to get a complete series going. We had a few bad camera angles during our matches which caused me to lose on two separate occations lol! For instance, I was using Motaro on the Monk stage, you tried to throw me and I broke it, causing the pillar to break at the same time.
The camera got stuck on an angle where I could not see you. The next thing I knew, Jarek performed a stomp and killed me lol! Anyway, great series. We'll play again soon man.
Peace

LOL, yeah sure dude I was getting pissed at the fact that last night the first dis was on my end, my fault. You see I have DSL which normally is great for me, however there was some glitch last night with whenever someone called my house I get disconnected from the internet... Fortunately it only happened once during our series lol. As for the intermission, not a problem dude I heard you thru the TV. Very good games to MKF 30!
