Well I'll certainly be looking forward to see if it really can do what it says on the back, funny how there's no mention of the extra modes and just talks about how good of a fighting engine it has.

I too liked the first concept box art much more with the dragon logo and the Dragon King.

yeah, it's uh... not so good (it sucks)... but c'mon guys, it's just a concept box, little more than an advertisement to get people's attention.
My bet is this, the next MK will have (wait for it...) A GIANT DRAGON LOGO with MORTAL KOMBAT DECEPTION written on it! Seriously though, every Mortal Kombat game has had simple variations of the logo and name... except for MK4... and MK Special Forces... but Special Forces sucked.

My only problem is that it makes Baraka out to be the star. :/

I like the other one much, much better. It's a freaking a Baraka render! Thank god somebody came up with the current box art. Baraka, so maybe that means he's part of the "deception".

are you idiots freakin stupid or what? This box art cover is so much better then that lame DK logo thingy.. Baraka looks so evil in this render that he deserves to be on the front cover. Man I would love to see this cover in the stores when the time comes.
But I guess midway will go with the dragon king + logo cover... midway has never really been any good at box art, i mean look at the MK:DA cover, that really sucked A$$!!!

Anyways, you say baraka looks badass?? did you not see how the DK looks on his boxart, thats pure badass and i like that art better because he is the damn last boss and the new one at that. And people who play MK but arent really into the story (you know the people that play the game but arent HUGE ass fans that come to forums or read the endings in the game) will see the boxart and be like" oh another MK game who is this guy with wings on the cover, let me buy the game.
they see a new freaking badass on the cover instead of saying oh this baraka looks plastic and al the other fighters probably look like this also, i hate these graphics leave it in the store. You know alot of morons go for graphics these days and that baraka render wouldt do any good. Besides its a damn box art that wont make it, gamestop uses alll the pics they have of the game to make the boxart. same with smackdown boxart and madden boxart, i have seen like 40 of them before the games release. And always they get some dummer boxart then the other ones. If history repeats itself we wont see the DK or baraka boxart but instead a damn MK logo that says deception under it, in a black background LOL.
its just a damn box art. Hopefully the special edition trading cards are renders of the MK fighters then i would collect them all.
Maybe the strategy guide will have cardboard ripouts of the renders of all the fighters. dammit i want those high res renders dammit!!! except that baraka one LOL.

I've nothing against Baraka and all, but that pic of him is one of the oldest I've seen, and I'd like to know what makes him so special that he would get a whole front case to himself.
The Dragon King looks like the most impressive boss since Shao Kahn in MK2, hopefully he's going to be something really special. So lets show him as the main guy on the cover, there's enough hype about him for it.
