all i was saying is that if u play games to compete and play for more then just "fun" u actually care about being good. this is where MK5 and MK6 did and will suffer. MK is no longer considered a great game, it is the laughing stock of the gaming world. this discourages people who actually care about being top at games and these r the guys who end up miaking fighters huge by holding tourneys. without the high level population playing MK6 all u get r the scrubs which is what happend to MK5 and thats where it failed. thats all i'm saying........

I hate to burst your bubble but probably the only reason the Soul Calibur series is even popular is because it says "Namco" on it. I would never play Soul Calibur over Mortal Kombat if I had to pick, and the only games that really stand out in my mind that are TRULY better than MK are Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter. Guilty Gear my also be in there, but I've yet to play that game. I'm not saying Soul Calibur series sucks, but by far MK is better than Soul Calibur.

but u r not part of the high level crowd. i'm talking about people like justin wong,samford,jop,tran,jinmaster,tom hilfiger,jinkid,mick,soo, etc.... those players wouldnt even think about playing an Mk game and its players like that that have kept the games they play living on strong for so long. i mean look, more people play a 12 year old SF game then MKDA. its the high level crowd that makes the games big and keeps them going.i'm not knocking MK at all cuz the games have been good and i have played all of the MK's but i was just saying the reason y MK has sort of fallen off over the years isnt becaue the gameplay isnt up to par(even though T4 is better) but its because of lack of a high level crowd. anyway, i apoligize to scorpio for posting my random thoughts on MK in this thread that he obviously put a lot of time and effort into and i also apoligize to everyone for going off the topic
