Well i have been thinking that i really missed the days when MK was a tournament, even though now the story is way far too complicated to make a tournament again and maybe it would have no sense at all, the primary essence of MK is that of a tournament to save the realms, now that shao kahn is presummed weak or dead (?), all of the tournament spirit has decayed (qactually since mk3), but i think now that the DK has raised, he must take the control of the tournaments and invite other realms to it, ife he is the real threat to universe, he must make the kombatants fight for their realms, even those lazy assed elder gods. Your Thoughts?

MKDA was a tournament held by the Deadly Alliance themslves. Li Meis ending suggests that, however I'm not sure if the actual tournament did go ahead. However looking at her outfit in MKD, I would assume it did. Although again, I'm not sure if everyone took part in it.

A proper Mortal Kombat tournament most likely won't take place as it's supposed to be once a generation and only a few years have passed since Liu Kang won.

I guess the Dragon King could use the tournament in his plans just like Shao Kahn did. I doubt he'll play fully by the rules though. It would a great excuse to get newer charcters involved and see more beings of higeher power, or more creatures from other realms.

There be dragons. I mean, yeah, only Li Mei really had anything to do with a tournament in Deadly Alliance.

And yes, I would like to see a tournament reappear sometime in the future. I'm hoping in the next game, or at least the game after. It could be pretty easy to pull off considering if the Dragon King loses.
