All I know is that the MK4 comic that came with the PC MK4 had Shinnok and Quan Chi murder Sindel. Whether or not they use that as official story material, I don't know.

I think Sindel has returned because the threat to Edenia is too great, and she is fighting to protect it, alongside her daughter Kitana. Or maybe, Kitana is dead?

I'm not really sure .. depends who the final characters are too.

I believe that Sindel is already alive and well. Her body was brought back by Shao Kahn and when she killed him, she stayed living (I guess she regained her soul). In MK4 she was the Queen of Edenia again, before Tanya helped Shinnok take it over hence capturing her and Kitana.

Kitana escaped in MK: Gold .. and I guess after she won that, Sindel was also set free to continue ruling Edenia. Then Kitana went out to stop the Deadly Alliance by herself.

That's the story so far as I remember it .. but I could be wrong.

Sindel never died, people. Well, yeah she died, but not after MK3. heh

In MK3, she came to her senses thanks to Kitana. That and all the visions she was having. So, eventually, she turned around and went against Kahn.

When it was all over, and things were back to normal, Sindel became Queen of Edenia again. It is evident she is still alive in Kitana's and Tanya's bios in MK4/MKG. She was always around as queen of Edenia.

yeah well mk4 comic had plenty of interesting things but were probably not tethered to the videogame's plot. the lack of any real story for noob saibot and the brotherhood of shadow in mk4 was disappointing. that comic ruled, though.

Sindel has to be evil this time, when you compare her look in Mk3, how evil she was, no eyes, black streak in hair to her MK3 ending, where she looks human & 'good' Her mk:D look is V.much evil Sindel so you can bet she has been resurrected a 2nd time by somebody bad >=)

I think maybe they will just act like the act3 ending never happened and she wasnt killed because she was already dead kinda, they brought her soul back, im not sure if she was considered the living dead or just brougt back to life. So i think she will be evil and summtin cool is going to happen with her and another evil person. I really hope she has a big part in the story in this game like she did in MK3. Sindels the best
