The third Oni in MKD? - Possibly female

We were told of three Oni and only introduced to two in MKDA. I am wondering if the third Oni will unveil him/herself in MKD and whether they will be a sub-boss or playable character.

I hope that if the third Oni does appear, that it is a female. It would be nice to see another female evil female and this time, she would not be of a human form. All the females in MK have human forms, although Nitara has wings added to her appearance. It would be nice if she was the leader of the three Oni and she helped control some mysterious power that the Oni possessed when all three of them are together.

Also, its storyline would be intriguing. I’d like to know exactly what the Onis reason for being around is and exactly what they will get up to now that all three would be together.

What are your thoughts?

She isn't. She is one of Quan Chi's assassins but I don't think they are fully human.

your idea is sweet.

But i don't think Nitara will be the third Oni.

Give the third Oni some rough looks as it is with Drahmin & Moloch.

Isn't there an Oni in charge of many things in the Netherealm? Mabey he could lead a legion of Oni's into all of the realms and hunt down mortals like Shao Kahn's extermination squads during the events of MK3?

I never said Nitara was or could be the third Oni. I was just referring to her look not being fully human because of the wings. I agree that the third Oni neess to have a look similar to Drahmin and Moloch, only more evil and powerful.

I don't know. That would be a good idea for the Oni. They are flesh eaters and wil want humans as their food. Although the vampires may also want the humans of Earth realm for their food. Maybe the vampires and Oni could be in a sort of blood food similar to the plot in Underworld. Although I highly doubt that would happen!

Great thread!

I'm actually DYING to see a New monstrous Sub-BOSS that is a female! Another Oni would be sweet, but only IF it’s a female.

I have always liked the idea of a half human half octopus woman. Imagine the way she would attack and kill you with the MANY tentacles. It would kick ass!

I only hope we see a monstrous female in Mk6, more deadly then any sub-boss ever!

wasn't there a 3rd Oni in Raiden ending ? As in 3rd I mean we have seen Drahin and Moloch, and then we see a 3rd one just as clear as Dragon King in Raiden's ending.

For the person who said the owl was the third Oni, that's not so. The owl is known as Moloch's Herald. He is charged with carrying the mystical ord that is the very essence of the Oni-Destoryer. Once the owl drops the orb and it lands on the ground, Moloch will be unleashed and destory whatever land the ord has landed upon. So yeah, there's the story behind the owl. It's definitely not an Oni.

I wish we would had seen the OWL in MKDA. It would had been awesome to see it fly around and attack you a bit.

Yeah, I would have like to seen him perched on Moloch's shoulder and be used in some of his attacks. However, I think the owl's only role in MK:DA was to unleash Moloch, nothing more. After he dropped the orb, it flies away.

We were told og the third Oni in the bios before MKDA came out.

Frost4584: That could possibly be the third Oni. Maybe we'll see it soon!

And the owl in the game could've been cool! It could've helped Moloch fight.

Hopefully we'll get introduced to the third oni in deception. I want him/her to be way more bad ass then moloch and drahmin was. Hopefully he/she will be a sub boss.

It would be cool to see another hybrid of something. I wouldnt mind seeing a minotaur.

A new character. There are dozens of oni's. You can tell because raiden said in his ending "perhaps the neatherealm will spew forward a region of oni".

Wasn't there a given name for the third oni, or like a sub name such as... Oni Tormentor; Drahmin, Oni Destroyer; Moloch, but I can't remember the last one.

I can't be sure if a new Oni will be introduced, but I'm almost certain we haven't seen the last of the oni.

But it's very possible. If we do see another addition, it's probably a safe bet that we won't be seeing all three oni in one game. Then again, that's what I said about Ermac and Kenshi. Go figure.

I think because we had one oni who was beastial and another who was more of a warlock-figure, I believe the next one will probably be a mix of both.

I agree with you, man. The third Oni should have enhanced power and more agility. A Minotaur would be great and could possible have both those traits.

I meant a new character. But we were told only of three Oni. If there are more, as long as they are badass and cool, I’d love to see them in the game.

All three in one game would probably take up a lot of space for other potential characters. Maybe they’ll find a way of getting rid of one of the two existing Oni to make way for the third Oni. A mix of both Molochs and Drahmins traits with something new thrown into the mix would be great.

i bet the dragon king is the master of the oni as well as his army, or maybe the oni go into the army and thats how dramin gets his flesh body
