I did'nt get a chance to see that video that someone posted here a couple of weeks ago ("these guys should be used for motion capture"), but, I've had the same thoughts. To me, MK:DA was kind of 1-dimentional when it comes to moves (even though it's in a 3-D environment. There seems to be a lack of creativity. Therefotre, it's not very exciting. I think that they should reaaly go out of thier way to get some incredible stunt people for motion capture, to make the game more realistic. what do you think?

They surely should, Not that MK's moves are bad, but when you look at other fighting games, you can see a difference in the quality of moves. I personally think that with MK, they should use more martial artists, to get a more diverse variety of moves, and strategy.

I don't think Carlos Pesina was in the Turtles movies, but the guy who used to play Kung Lao was.

I completely agree. I mean no disrespect to CP but it will give each fighter more distinct moves if they had different martial artists for different characters. And does Carlos do the motion capture for women too?

Yea the are still using CP. Not sure if he does the mo-kap for the females as well. I think i'd have to agree with you guys, that they should use a different person for each motion kapture. However CP has worked at midway for like nearly 12 years, and they are probably saving an assload of Loot by not outsourcing Martial Artists for Motion Capture.

I'd be nice if they had someone that could do extreme kicks.

Indeed. From the video in DA I think that the same guy did every body's moves. And they were blant and boring. No crazy flips, no suicide kicks in mid-air, nothing exciting.Soul caliburs martial arts was a hell of a lot better than DA and soul calibur is a weapons fighting game!

Just to clrify, I don't mean any disrespect to Carlos Pasina. I think he's a skilled martial artist, but, I don't believe that one is skilled enough to be the personalities of over 25 different characters...
I'm sure that they probably saved a lot of money, but, I also think that if they looked hard enough, they could find someone who does'nt charge an arm and a leg...even 1 or 2 more martial artists/stunt men would make a big difference (if you find the right guy(s))...it's really just a matter of how much effort they are willing to put into the game.
By the way, has anyone seen (or played) the new Onimusha game? WOW!

**Pulls out the old Videogames April 1994 issue**
Carlos Pesina (Raiden): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Played Stunt double for Casey Jones and Wit the Pirate.
Daniel Pesina(MKI-II Johnny Cage, all the MKI-II Ninjas if I remember right): TMNT II: Played a foot soldier.
Anthony Marquez (Kung Lao): Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Performed stunts for Leonardo, appeared as a rebel soldier and a guard soldier.
Ho Sung Pak (MKI-II Liu Kang): TMNT II, II: Played Raphael.
Richard Divizio (Kano, Baraka, Kabal): TMNT II: Played a foot soldier.
Goddamn it, they were ALL in Ninja Turtles movies!
But to stay on topic, I do agree that Carlos alone may not be enough. They should contact Katalin Zamiar, or Becky Gable again... >_>
