I'm assuming you're referring to the first stage before the bottom graveyard with Scorpion being in the same background, it doesn't look like the same background/arena that Sub and Batman are fighting in the teaser. Scorpion's background looks hellish or Netherrealm ish I noticed.

Yeah, it's fast but something did fall off his mask(like Boon said in one interview hehe) I can see it now, bruising, masks fucked up and falling off or cracked....pretty sick concept.

Although the blood wasn't that cartoony in the older games, the past few have been a bit more(although MK:DA was realistic in the sense of the ground, it turned darker as the match went on) I do agree with you that it looks more realistic now.

I also noticed that at the end of the teaser, it looks like that last "crush and stand on chest move" creates a small crator in the ground where they land.

On the Medallion thing, I think most "Sub-Zero" and "MK fans" noticed that right off the bat. Who cares which fan noticed it first or last lol. Not exactly tough to NOT notice.

That was probably one of the things that really intrigued me the most!
MKDA really made it a lot easier to take the franchise seriously by introducing versatility and individuality in the fight styles, and I appreciated that so much after the 2D era where the special moves were the only point of differentiation for casual gamers.

I think one of my major issues with Deception was the regression back to a streamlined set of high kicks, low kicks, and so on.
I'm not sure if the bells and whistles of the new fight modes will live up to expecation, but I think it's a wonderful sign that they aren't just pushing the special moves. I think the trailer really proves some much needed effort is going into the mechanics of gameplay even if the details end up missing out (again).

It would've been so easy to fill that trailer with ice blasts and batarangs to pander to the fanbases. Hopefully this is a sign of a strong step forward mechanically, if not conceptually.
