The two things that really bug me for some reason is the frozen katakoms not being in the game. The other is the laughter after the "Hara-Kiri's". I thought the laughter was great but now the Hara-Kiri's are just too plain..
What do you guys wish was still in the game

Sektor. More puzzle fighters. All those torture game concepts in the krypt that were never made. Classic fatalities.

Kung Lao. they Could Have skipped shujinko and just told the story as Kung Lao traveling. but then again everybody would hate him and Raiden wouldve smoked his ass instead. I also hate that test your might wasn't in there. that was a fun little departure from the fighting ladder in Deadly Alliance. I'm Alos mad that sektor was not included even though they have a badass sketch of him in the krypt. ummm Any of the cool Deadly alliance earth warriors.(Kung Lao, Sonya, Cage) but according to ermac's ending they are all okay so come on MK 7!

Gotta agree on the effort part. I'd really like to see some actual gameplay and balance put in personally.

To me with the unnessary modes like Puzzle and Chess mode, I wish the MK team would have put endurace mode back into the game. As I saidmany times I would glady give up chess and puzzle kombat for more traditional Mortal Kombat stuff such as secrets, modes,or more stuff added to the fighting. Overall I just wish that MK: Deception was more of a traditional MK game rather than trying to making it some kind of game where kombat is 2nd secondary and bonus modes are the main goals. Last but not least MK: DA 's like Konquest. As some of you mnay know the backbone of Mortal Kombat is its story. MK: DA Konquest is the best at explaining the backstory of the characters. It was much more than past MK games that had limited time( demo screen bios and screens) that explain the plot and what not. MK: Deception Konquest hardly does anything to expand the storyline at all. That bugs me a ton that Konquest has become a place to unlock stuff rather than learn about the MK storyline and characters.

I agree. I didn't understand how they could leave out one of the best (THE best imo) fighter from MKDA...at least they substiuted him with Liu Kang.
Sektor too, I was surprised that he wasn't included since his story with the Tekunin is getting interesting...
Throw escapes, they get abused soooo much online it's laughable.
Better sized arenas. The stages are very cool, but the Deception ones seem much smaller, compare MKDA's Kuatan Palace to MKD's and yoiu can see the difference. Also, what's with the square boxes that are the boundaries of many arenas? It lookes the worst at the Living Forest...

IMO, the best in ANY MK. He should be in Deception.
And yes.....at first I didn't miss it but it would be cool if Scorpion had his Toasty.
I'm not even gonna mention the fighting engine. It's been beaten to death.

I echo this.. they should have put on master.. Kung-Lao.... and Test Your Might....
This doesn't really bug me, but I wish Sektor with his Tekunin Storyline should have been in Deception. Oh well , always hope for MK7...

Speaking for myself I never really cared if MK had 1,2,3,4 fatalies per character, stage fatalites, or even extra modes. It all comes down too if the game is fun or not. I dislike Deception because it is the slowest MK game since MK2. Also as I mentioned above it didn't feel like a traditonal MK game.Again Konquest didnt have much to do with the overall storyline. Part of the reason why I like MK is because of its deep storyline. Deepstoryline is something that Deception lacks to me. I would given up muli fatalites, hari karis, Konquest and the 2 bonus modes for more out of the fighting game. I wanted Decpetion to be faster (better than MK: DA) than MK: DA. Instead it focus too much on non important stuff.

I don't understand all these people in denial about more secrets and super unlockables and more characters. Ok you take a cheat device say a game shark. You use that device and you can unlock anything in the game with it. Often you can unlock things you couldn't unlock otherwise. So with this knowledge we examine the game and we find that characters unlocked by the game shark don't have full move sets often they lack special moves or stances and fatalities don't work etc.... This proves there is no other secret characters. There is no way for you to program in fake characters to be found by a cheat device while having a hidden real version. Sorry get over it there are no other characters.

-Reversals
-Turn Around Jump Kick
-Jump Back Kick
-Faster Jumping
-technical combo breakers that is a skill based attribute not a simple button press/hold.
-multi height arenas, that the height changes as you move, not just flat.
-Different throw based on position of fighter
-no pre-determined combos strings, just full unmapped combo linking between styles.
-Consistent Sweep for every character. Not just a low hit.

This is from a message that I posted for the developers: This message is intended for the designers of this game and for those wishing to offer input on how they would implement a wake up game to keep the next game from relying too heavily on 50/50 guessing games. I love this game and I can see where wake ups would improve the overall experience during high level play. One of the most frustrating aspects of play is not being able to ward off an attacker if I've been floored. There is no risk of being punished for continuously mixing you up with high and low attacks. In games like Street fighter, you can put the pressure on your opponent with a rush down but you also run the risk of being countered with either a special or a super attack because in those games you have the ability of inputting commands of certain moves like the dragon punch while on the ground. When you have taken a fall from a sweep or some other knock down move, the dragon punch interrupts the standing animation and thwarts any attempt to make a continuous high/low guessing game due to its brief moment of invulnerability. All wake ups need that brief moment of invincibility to be effective.
I love the high/low aspect of the game but sadly the breakers are not enough. I like the breaker system and would like to see it in the next game the same way it is now (three chances to stop the combo). There also needs to be a throw break to give you more of a chance to recover yourself and turn the momentum in your favor. In other words if you attempt to throw me, I can throw back in the given time frame and we both break apart and take a step back giving you some breathing room. With these simple additions the next MK will really be something special, not only will it have the story and moody characters that I love but it will also have a deeper system that rewards those who wish to discover it's nuances.
Examples of wake ups, there are already so many wake ups that could be used by existing characters. Not all moves can be wake up moves especially not fireball attacks of course missing the wake up move will leave you open to attack just like any over move if the opponent tricks you into doing it :
Character------ Wake -up
Scorpion (Flame somersault)
Li Mei (Carnival Kick)
Kobra (Double Fire somersault Kick)
Sub Zero (Ice clone)
Ermac (Tele Slam)
Kenshi (Mind Warp)
Raiden (Teleport)
Jade (Slide Kick)
Mileena (Rolling Thunder)
Sindel (Ankle Grab)
Tanya (Cannon Drill)
Ashra (Top spinner (Vertical)
Havik (Corpse dive)
Kabal (Raging Flash)
Kira (Cannon Ball)
Dairou (Place switcher)
Noob (We Live)
Smoke (Tele Punch)
Hotaru (Grasshopper kick)
Barakka (Blade Fury)
Darius (Spin Kicks)
Liu Kang (Bicycle Kicks)
Bo Rai Cho (Cartwheel flips)
These wake ups would easily prevent characters like Bo Rai Cho, Noob, Kobra and Scorpion from pressuring you with overhead or "Mid" attacks. An example of how it would work, if Noob Smoke was being pressured with high and low attacks from Night Wolf, Smoke could retaliate with the Telepunch while rising of the ground from a knock down. Or at least a simple system like Tekken where you can dive forward when on the ground which gives you a moment of invincibility to counter the ground attacks. Anything to stop the 50/50 guessing from overpowering the game play.
Thanks for you time in reading these suggestions.
Peace
