For those of you who preordered at Gamestop and EB Games, lets this be the early release thread. If anyone gets the game early, then post which Gamestop or EB location and what day. I'm not looking to get people in trouble or nothing. This will just help the rest of us possibly get the game early.
Example: Lets say that I stroll into my local Gamestop on Saturday. I ask if my preorder has come in. They say "no, will be here on the 5th". I give a confused and concerned facial thisthingisdisabled and say "hmmmm, well a buddy of mine already has his copy from store #____ in city, state. Then they decide to go ahead and give me my copy. This way we don't look like idiots going into to the store every freakin day asking for it. I personally don't think any Gamestop is releasing it early, but lets find out.

i stoped by eb games last night after work here in virginia and the clerk konfirmed that the brady book would be in for sure on friday for sale. he also said that he didnt know if they would get the iguide and that mk would not be available until the 4th or 5th.

I know the Gamestops in my area wont be releasing it early... When the last Zelda game for the 'Cube came out, my friend got a call from Gamestop about a week and a half before release date, saying he could go pick up his copy. So he went and picked it up. I never got a call, but had researved mine at the same store. So I went later that day after work to get mine, and they informed me that an employee had jumped the gun and was not supposed to give them out till the 'official' release date. The stores are on a sort of honor system with the publishers, and will supposedly get cut off from getting promotional items and the ability to secure preorders of up-coming games if they break the system and sell the games before the official release date. blah.

Well Gamestop swore up & down they were not going to release MK:DA early, but we all know what happened to that. I'm thinking about going tomorrow right before they close.

Listen up, Chicago and Illinois people: I live in Missouri, so i should get the game just as soon as you do, but, here's the problem: the game is MADE in Chicago, but is burned on a CD in a factory in CALIFORNIA. So, living near Midway HQ does you NO GOOD. Don't get your hopes up....

I live in Oregon, and pre-ordered Premium pack *PS2, and today I got a call because they are charging the credit card today.
Last I checked they don't charge until they process/ship the order. Then again sometimes they check cards before arrival for pre-orders to make sure they ship on time too... So I am not getting my hopes up.
However, in the event that they are actually going to ship it today, I would get it tomorrow. I have the 1 day shipping method. In which case I will take a picture and post it on my site...and enable the online krypt database...yadda yadda yadda

That's what's good about Taqget, ToysRUs... they don't care a whole lot cause they are HUGE... so they may release it early

My EB said that I could get it on the 5th and Im gonna stick with that. sure Im going to call on the 4th but we will see what happens. If I dont get it on the 4th no biggy, Ive waited 3 months I can wait another day! also I totally understand how games can take longer to get across the country than across the state and I live on the east coast so I would expect it to be kinda late. I dont wana get the game early because Im sure someone is doin something wrong. anyways peace out ya'll I got 4 days and about 12 hours until I get the game to my house and in my ps2 (angel music) wink

I went to GameStop today and they said that it was pushed back! I almost went crazy but then they said they would check again to make sure but it was Oct. 5 for PS2 and Oct. 6 for X-Box. I don't see why they would have X-Box a day later...

The Gamestop I went to said it was going to come out the 5th of October.If it does come out early then good.
Usually on big games, if they ship early the stores sign an agreement not to put it up early. If they do they have to pay a fine for every copy sold early. This happened to me on NBA Street 2, had to wait 3 days to get it even though it was in. I don't think Toys R us can afford the fines with their recent financial troubles. Plus, when it ships it would be posted on Midway's website. So I highly doubt it will come out tomorrow. The earliest I expect it to ship is saturday, whiich could mean a Monday release.

Ok this is getting crazy! I preordered with Gamestop, but today I decided to call EB Games. I asked when I could pick up my reserved copy ( a little lie). The guy sounded like a newbie. I could hear him asking another employee about the release. The other employee abruptly grabs the phone and says "hey if you have a copy of your reserve receipt, then read the #s back to me". I stuttered and hung up on him. So if I gave him a valid receipt #, what would he have said to me next? Maybe just give me the official release date.

well...i have the game reserved at gamestop...i plan on going to my toys r us tomarrow and seeing if all those rumours are true..if they are...i'm running straight to gamestop (toys r us and the mall are right next to each other here) cancelling my pre order and picking it up at toys r us hehehehehe oh retailers...you're playing right into my handsfurious mwahahahahahahahahahahah... ahahahahahahaahahaha... uhh...sorry

That's correct I work in an EB games so trust me we're right, it's the fourth or fifth, no earlier.
Yeah, I figured.
I do absolutely believe though, that someone will get this game tomorrow (the 1st).
I do believe stores will get this game before the 4th and put it on the shelf...it always happens. EB and Gamestop just may not be those chains.
