Hmmmm, could Darrius be Dairou? It's possible. They have similar names. They both had the same story ideas (mostly). I think the MK staff pulled a fast one on us.

He reminds me of Raven, who in turn reminds me of Blade.

I doubt that he'll look like Morpheus for 2 reasons.

1. Copyrights
2. There is no MK character (apart from Bo) that is as chubby as Morpheus.

I like his look. It's his story that interests me most as it is similar to Hotarus. Both are seeking order, but they listed as enemies so they must be going for opposing forms of order in their realm.

I think Darrius is Dairou, they twisted his fisrt name a bit.

I like Darrius better.

For the look, I would be surprise if some people on this forum start new thread about the fact that Noob is Smoke, Smole is Darrius and Darrius is Noob... after all, there outfit probably all been bought at the same store, same sale!

Darrius is probably Dariou, just Dariou was wrong. I was looking at the character select screen and where everyone thought Dariou was, looks like Darrius can fit right in there. So it's safe to assume for now, that Darrrius is Dariou.

Darrius looks ok. I think his outfit should be more unique though. Looks a bit like Noob's with a Scorpion twist on it. I would take the sash away and maybe the arm covers to make him look more unique.

Hotaru wants order in the universe by saying "Nobody can have any fun", and Darrius wants order with a lot more freedom, so you could say that this is the 18th century and Hotaru is Britain and Darrius is America. Sorry if this offended anyone.

I agree that Darrius storyline is somewhat interesting, but he still looks like a dork. If this is what used to be Dairou, then it's the worst makeover in MK history since Shang Tsung got equipped with a thong in MK3.

I saw Darrius on a MK site i dont know if im allowed to give the address bt he looks alrite i like his costume except his face doesnt really fit into it and he reminds me of jax xcept darrius has more of a ninja costume

Seems like with the introduction of Darrius we finally know what Hotaru's alignment is. "Oppressive regime" sounds evil to me.

with Dairius in the game I think that we don't need Jax, because both of them look a bit too much similar.

There were rumors circulating that Ed Boon wanted to put Jax in the game, maybe they confuse Dairius with Jax

anyway, Darrius seems like an ok character, a little of jax, a little of johnny, a little of Daiuru (forgot how to spell it, too lazy to check), Could be fun, I just hope he has cool powers!!! I want to see his pic though

He just looks really generic to me. He looks like he's just a "filler" character.

Well, I think Dairou was the right name originally, but I suspect they reworked him into Darrius, much the same way as they reworked "Khan" into Hsu Hao in Deadly Alliance.

For what it's worth, I think Darrius' costume looks a bit too much like the ninjas'.

Did it say somewhere some think he's a freedom fighter whilst others think he's a terrorist? (or similar words).

While that's not very original, it is always a potentially good story, leaving things open for him to evolve as good, evil or neutral.

He reminds me more of Hsu Hao than Jax but really we are all commenting on 1 pic. He may have awesome alternates and will probably be totally original. The terrorist think makes me think he may have bombs strapped to his body or something. Maybe good Hari Kiri potential.

I am 100% certain this was Dairou by the way.

i was thinking the same thing, it says he is bald with sunglasses and a sleeve-less tunic. if i remember correctly, i think that was what diriou looked like in the MKDA krypt concept pic, only minus the sunglasses.

He doesnt have a mask. I think he looks quite cool, but kinda reminiscent of jax, which i dont like. I like the fact he's form a new realm tho. Expands the world of MK a bit more.

i think darrius looks cool. his story isnt bad either.
