i didn't like Onaga much. i do agree that we needed a new final boss especially since in the last 2 it was just playable characters and one side boss. Shao Kahn though is the greatest boss. he is the first boss to say "You Suck" during the middle of the match.

If either Shao Khan, Quan Chi, or Shang Tsung return then they will mop the floor with Onaga.

Well Onaga did smoke Quan Chi and Shang Tsung in the beginning video... even with raidens help, so I think they are helpless now. But for Kahn... With the power he has, and people like Goro behind him, he would beat onaga down.

Yeah but the developers said he smoked them because he had the Kamidougus with him. Either way Onaga won't be in MK7, u know it's Khan who will most likely kill him.

It could just be that the orinigal MK was my favorite in the franchise.. but I think Shang Tsung was the best boss character. Onaga is fine for MK:D, but Tsung could easily transform into the Dragon King and whip his ass.

Honestly, the DK is a cheap boss. I personally don't like him. I mean his story and the way they made him look is really great and all but he is the cheapest boss in MK history. He sucks.

Too easy. I hope MK7 has a harder boss.

Onaga is cool. I would much rather see Shao Kahn return though. I'd love to see him in MK7 as a playable character, but still big and badass.
Onaga...they made a huge deal about him, but when you fight him he's the same as Goro, Kintaro or Moloch...big, dumb, brainless monster with a pattern who roars and growls and does the same unblockable moves over and over. He's the emperor of outworld for crying out loud...make him intelligent and cunning, not big, dumb and brutish.
The game needs a cunning smartass like Shao Kahn...especially if he has his own styles and high-impact moves.

I remember in the first Mortal Kombat, I thought Goro was the badass and Shang Tsung was easy. I didn't care that he could morph. It was like fighting any other character to me.
Then came MK2. I hit the 1p mode with Raiden first thing(tradition for me. I'm pissed when I can't do it, like in MK:D. I'm happy he has all his moves though). I preceeded to beat everyone and get to Kintaro. I thought he would be just like Goro, who I learned to beat quite easily in MK1. But Kintaro was different. He was a total beast compared to Goro. I remember I saw an opening...and tried to do Raiden's Torpedo. Kintaro simply THREW ME OUT OF THE TORPEDO. Like it was nothing. Needless to say, I was like O_O(I also remember an arcade machine once down at the old roller rink had an MK2 machine, and the bastards set it up so that Kintaro would be the second fight).
Eventually I conquered Kintaro., and met Kahn. I had been awaiting my fight with him, for he, after all, controlled all of outworld and I figured he had to be stronger than his minions. So, he starts the fight by doing his taunt of "You weak, pathetic, fool!". I was impressed. He had style. Not only that, he did insane damage and was pretty quick. His never ending taunting made me want to beat him even more.
The recent bosses...they have no flair. Shinnok's play style was pretty much exactly like Shang Tsung. Characters that you can play with from the start should never be bosses.
Bring back Kahn!

Shao Kahn playable
Reptile in Onaga's MKD body
Onaga in HIS body ... a new greater body (see Sindel's ending)
and there you have it for MK7 !

I doubt that they will mop the floor with Onaga. if you watch the intro they do nothing to him. what makes you think Shao Kahn would do anything different i would say Onaga would out right Destroy Shao Kahn since Onaga increased he's power with the Kamidogu or what ever you call it. that's why the deadly alliance were no match in the intro. The Dragon King Has so much potential, i think people need to stop be close minded and be thankfull we got a real boss since Kahn. im not even going count shinnok he was crap in mk4. They need to increase the a.i in the Dragon King and make him hard as hell like shao kahn was in mk2/3, that what they need to do with Onaga and expand he's move list so he wont be predictable.

Don't forget the One Being. He might be the final boss in MK7 too.

That seems unlikely to me. From what was reveiled about MK lore in MK:D, the One Being was shattered by the Elder Gods. Its shattered consciousness makes up reality. So for the One Being to come back, everything else would have to cease to exist. That includes the kombatants.

the dragon kind is a pretty good boss. big emprovement over mk:da, but not that good. shao khan is the best ever. shang stung is close behind.

havik ripped the dragon king's heart out and revived shao khan right? ( makes sense, he wanted chaos), but it another endig it shows some1 killing him before he got to resurt khan. i can;t remember who it was.
it sucks how a lot of the endings contradict eachother, and how most of them are useless and fake.
i do hope normal reptile ( ninja or mk4 form) will be back, along with khan and reiko

Personally I wasn't that impressed with Onaga. Dull oaf moves, easily bested by sidestep-combo-sidestep-combo..., no style. Boring and too easy, I toppled him the 3rd time I fought him, I've never been able to do that to an MK boss.
I personally wouldn't mind at all if Midway decided to whack the Dragon King like they whacked Shinnok. He's just living in Kahn, Shang, and the Shokans' shadow like every other "hip new boss" MK has presented us ever since. Next in line please!

if they brought kahn back that would be recycling old storys all over again, i say give onaga a chance im sure they can give him some improvements. i wouldn't mind see kahn back in 3d but as long as onaga stays as main boss i wouldn't have a problem with that. MK Needs to expand on they storylines, if they have shao kahn as boss all the time it would be pointless and boring. i still perfer Onaga over Kahn though.

It was kabal who killed havik in his ending.
I would be so happy if they bought back kintaro as a mini-boss or something, he was just so hard to beat, it felt like a huge accomplichment when you bet him. He had that head stomp move that was super hard to dodge and all his kicks and punches took of 1/4 of your health.
I would also like to see Kahn as a playable charcter, i mean he already has a weapon style with that big hammar.

I'll be honest, I've gotten tired of Shao Kahn; he's not that great of a boss; the Dragon King was a welcome change, and as far as I'm concerned, he's a much better boss than Kahn.
Dragon King would smoke Shao Kahn in seconds with the power of the kamidogu.

my predictablities and they usually come true which each mk game that comes out is.
The boss: the one being (the real dragon king in his real body)
Sub-boss (chimera, new centaur, or the return on the shokans, maybe kintoro or a new one, or a fast ass female creature)
Personally i hink shao khan is the sub boss cause of his ending showing they are bringing him back then the endings showing the real DK coming back and the one being that will consume all.
Roster for mk7 100% sure so far, if it isnt 100% confirmed in my eyes i wont post the name.

3. Human reptile(he seen his race now so he can turn human again(sindel ending)
4. Rain( to finish off the ninja roster)
5.Reiko(have a feeling he will kick major ass this game and be FAST)
6.fujin(raiden is evil now and the Mk4 roster needs to be complete)
7. Styker(they giving him another chance and his name in clouds.
8. Kai, ( they cut him from MKDA and from MK:D, this time they will bring him back for mk7, remeber dairou was cut and came for MK:D so kai will be back for mk7)
9.smoke( ashrahs ending smoke is good and noob is evil they are separate now) he will keep his tele uppercut, smoke screen and teleoprt from behind smokey punch and maybe a new move like the clone slam.
10.noob (maybe the teleslam, the cloud ball(moves from umk3 btw) his ninja star attack from MK:D.
If gamecube version doesnt get fujin and styker then they will most likly be in mk7, also they have every fighter not dead for good and not generic in the game coming back so kai was in the works for both games so i see him coming back, kinda konfused bout the bosses but i see a new boss coming our way that i mentioned and khan being sub boss after the sub boss. jerek and the shokans are dead for good, and if kira dies she will die for good cause mk team even said she was a replacement for kano since he wasnt in this game and has ALL generic moves and fighting styles.
POSITIVE they will make the game lol although i am just saying this, IF noob and smoke make the game yea they would be separate. Kai wont be cut a third time.
Thats the remaining fighters and after that they could make a trilogy hopefully and after the trilogy now that the game is on next generation consoles after the trilogy they can make MK8 with new GAMEPLAY.
sonya should also return for mk7 so we can see what her new fighting style is and her new weapon. Cause they dun wanna use people with the same fighting styles for MK trilogy.

A smarter, less predictable Dragon King and with more moves would be great. And I wouldn't like Shao kang to be the boss again, but as a sub-boss in acount of changing the boss was a good idea poorly executed. What a sub-boss he would be: a strong, smart, taunting boss. I and idea! Two co-boss! I know it's been done, but, this time, the boss would both be badasses and not simply two caracters together.

You know what I think? Dragon king is so dull. Why does the boss always have to be male and super strong.. The Dragon King was a good boss overall but I think they need a change. And you know where they can get that change, in Tanyas ending.
I would personally love to see Tanya take over the realms when she stole that power source off the Dragon King. Now SHE would be a bad-ass boss I can tell you. She would be all powerful and an evil female boss is something MK needs badly. I mean no one in MK would want Tanya as ruler so thats the reason Mortal Kombat tournament would take place. To stop Tanya abusing her power!!

I do love the idea of a female Boss, I’m also tired of the typical muscular powerful male beast boss. I want a female sub-boss/boss but I don’t really like the idea of Tanya being the one. I really like her, but the role of super villain doesn’t fit her IMO.
As for the Dragon King. He has so much story potential, much more then Shao Kahn IMO, but yes, I do agree that his appearance was too simple.
He was impressive, but not THAT impressive. Not truly original in terms of look and gameplay.
I actually hope he returns in a better form, a better way...
