Tanya was the most powerful character in Mortal Kombat 4, tied with Quan Chi. If you are too blind to see that, that's your problem. Personally, the same people who say Tanya isn't top tier, are the idiots who say scorpion is top tier in MK4. I smoked every single Scorpion and Reptile player I faced as Tanya.

her corkscrew/splits moves made some decent combos. other than that, she was a bland kitana jobber. mayhaps they will add some flare for her in mk6 but yeah...kitana is better. since tanya betrayed edenia to shinnok, and sindel is back for mk6, odds are sindel is looking to whoop her traitor ass.

For Saty: I will stop the arguing about the Tanya aspect, my opinion is she sucks, you think she is a good fighter. That is that. The only thing I hope is that I run into you around October online while you are using your zone covering weak ass character, then we will put all this to rest once and for all.

Tanya is a brilliant character. She has great moves and Fatalities. If you combined her speed and the potential combo ability of her moves together, she was a force to be reckoned with.

Her weapon when used properly would stop the opponent getting anywhere near her so she could wipe them out with projectiles!

The Split Kick and Corkscrew Kick allowed for huge combo damage. In a way, I used her similar to Raiden but you have several more options and sneaky ways of play with Tanya. She's great!

I can guarantee that over half the MK supporters hate Reiko, you cannot please everyone and I just happen to be the person you cannot please when it come to Tanya. No problem. I never read through the rest of the page fully. I can't believe out of all those repleis I'm the only one whose done what you've asked lol.

Anyway, my reply was shorter than it could've been. I understand why most people probably don't like her. Some take her as a Kitana rip off but there is nothing remotely similar about the two other than background detail (they come from Edenia etc.)

Both play considerably differently, and imo Tanya is the better of the two in combat. She is deadlier, faster and very powerful. Speed is a trait I look for in fighters and Tanya being the fastest imo on MK4, was perfect. And yes she was a bitch to fight against and that probably put people off her as well as her story.

I think people need to try her out and give her a little more time to get used to her. As I see it, your missing out on a great character.

Well as far as women fighters go, I am a Mileena fighter through and through, talk about fast and good combos. She was deadly from the get go in MK2. I am very enthused to see her in MK:D. Maybe Tanya will surprise me, but I am banking on her not, simply my impression of her from MK4. We will have to wait and see though.

Mileena is brilliant also! MK2 and MKGold were her games! She became somewhat lacking on UMK3/MKT, but she was still great because of speedy and damaging combos. However, when it coems to female ownage, Jade, Tanya, Nitara and Sonya rule in that field for me. If I had the chance, I'd rename Tanya Ownage! lol

there could be far, far worse characters to return like jax, stryker, jarek, reiko, moloch, cage, sonya, shinnok...all of whom i will never miss.

Actually I think it's a pretty good bet that these two being in the game together, that their stories will have something to do with each other. Perhaps Tanya is the reason for Kitana's absense and Sindel wants to find her daughter which means she has to find and go through Tanya, maybe Sindel wants a few "words" with Tanya for her massive betrayal of Edenia. I think it's a given that Tanya and Sindel are gonna butt heads in MKD IMO there is just no way around it. As for the theard itself: I agree that Tanya wasn't anything special in MK4, but MKD could be a turning point for her. I think that what someone said about people not liking Tanya because everyone's fighting techniques were the same and no one really had that much of a difference aside from specials is true. I'm not saying the you pesonally have this reason, but I bet that it was a very big deciding factor for other people. But in MKD all that is changed. Tanya could become great in MKD just give her a chance to surprise you. I know that it seems very unlikely to you now, but that doesn't mean (by some small miracle ) that you can't change you mind after playing MKD. I changed my mind about Li Mei and Drahmin two characters I absolutely had no use for. So just give her a chance, and if you still don't like her well that's fine. The point is though you haven't played her in the new game and a lot of the opinons you formed of her from MK4 could turn around in the new game.

tanya IS top tier in mk4. it's fact. not opinion.

Tanya Has some weak Qualities in Mk4 but If you know How to use her(like Tgrant) then you can master the courages to say she's Shweet but even with out moves I think She will be a good addition because I happen to believe in second chances. Now I'm going to go And work on my video game skills.
