Too many Deadly alliance characters dissapearing?

I'm all for giving old characters second chances, but do you think they did it too fast? There was a lot of stuff going on in the Deadly Alliance plot line, and to have standards like Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, and Sonya dissapear with no explanation is pretty ridiculous. Maybe those characters still have a chance to be in MKD, with the line up expanding beyond 24 characters?

I'm also dissapointed with how many characters in MKDA wound up being one shots. Mavado and the red dragon, Drahmin and the oni, and Nitara and the vampires were all good plot additions that in my opinion, should be explored more thoroughly.

So what do you think? Did they phase out too many characters too quickly to keep plot continuity?

I know what you mean dude! Mavado is nowhere to be seen. Raiden has suddenly disappeared, but he is rumnoured to return. Sonya has sudddenly gone along with Nitara, Cyrax, Cage, Kung Lao and others. And it's almost as if the Deadly Alliance didn't exist!

I want Kung Lao, Sonya, Raiden, Mavado, Shang, Quan and Nitara back! I want to know what's happened to them and where they all are. They should be in this game!

I guess thats where the intro video to Deception comes in, not to mention Konquest, we'll soon find out. Patience is a virtue
I do agree that the aforementioned characters have dissapeared without mention so far, but hey we've not seen half of wot Deception has 2 offer so ya never know. Sonya & MavadoI aint 2 fussed about, but Kung Lao and the rest Id love to know more about! Hello Konquest Mode!!!!

I think the MKD cast is missing quite a few of MKDA's more important characters. Why build up characters like Kung Lao (main hero, killed Shang) Quan Chi (main villain, I'm certain he survived) Mavado (important, ties in with many others) and Nitara (endings suggest she has more to do in MK) and of course Raiden, only to miss them out in the next game?

Aside from those listed abpve, I'd have also liked to see Johnny Cage, Frost and Drahmin make it back. I really liked the MKDA cast, and if they don't make it in MKD, the door should still be open for most of them to come back in future. Damn, I'm missing a lot of favourites in MKD so far.

Isn't the glass arena in MKD called the Red Dragon Temple? This tells me we may not have seen the last of Mavado. (If so, he better have some serious improvements, though.)

i hope kabal kicked the sh*t out of mavado. i liked kabal in the past, mavado really wasnt a good enough fighter for me. i think they should try to balance the characters out mroe in this game, ya know, like give them equal strenghths and weaknesses, imho some characters were broken in mk da, if you didnt play with one of the 3-4 top tier fighters, you didnt stand a chance.
(p.s. im new here do i have to put the star or can i swear if i feel like it, j/w)

As much as I want to see Sonya and Mavado, people, no story or anything has been revealed yet!

I dont want to see any new fighters from Mkda i just didnt like any of them they seemed to be very tekkenish.To cartoonish too.

i just want mavado back.out of all the new charaters from mkda..but over all.i have a feeling that every 1 from mkda will be in the game,there fighting styles r there y not just have them also...they'll be there...over all though i want kitana,kung lao,mavado,and quan chi.. hopefully if they do put them in the game,they'll also get some new moves,plus returning old 1's!!!

I'm pretty pissed that Kung Lao is not in this game.

But I'm sure as hell glad the two fags Mavado and Hsu Hao aren't in the game.

Im not sure where, but i remember reading on here from somoen who claimed to have inside info that Deception was taking place in Outworld, and that Hsu Hao had destroyed all of the Outerworld Invetigation Agency's Portals connecting Outworld to Earthrealm. if so this would explain why Raiden, Jax, Sonya, Kung Lao, Cyrax, Hsu Hao are all misisng from the game. There are also rumours that Raiden was killed in this process.

Raiden was confirmed by E3 reps, people. Just thought I'd say that.

But anyway, I personally didn't like Mavado, and I'm sure Kabal's presence will explain Mavado's absence. As for Nitara, I loved her design, and although I would like her in MKD, her story needs a bit more tweaking. I want her to be more than just a "means to end" this time around. I love Li Mei. I got Li Mei. tongue As for the old characters, such as Kung Lao and Sonya, well, let's not jump to conclusions yet. At least one other classic MKDA character will make a return. Reptile and Sonya are my bets, especially since Jax has returned(unfortunately).

this happens alot in mk lets look at mkda ok
of the returning charactors 1 was from mk4 and 1 was from mk3 it's become a tradition for ne charactors from mk3 forward to make disappearances for like three games while charactors like kitana and reptile get to be in like every game

i didnt like most of the new mkda characters as much as the old ones. the only cool one was mavado and even then his specials were pretty bad

I think the new characters in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance where awesome. Drahmin is an absolute classic design, with a great story. I know you hate that he didn't have combos, but that can be changed. I also loved Moloch, Kenshi, and others. MKDA had the best cast of New characters since Mortal Kombat 2.
