Don't worry about putting Tanya down, I'm sure she will be too. She was pretty freaking powerful in MK4. I also agree about Mileena, I bet she'll be really good too.

I wouldnt really judge tier on the storline. So far it seems not that much has changed with the actual engine so im sure some people are going to destroy shit. Scorpion will most likely be one of them.

But I'll say Scorps, Mileena and possibly Tanya or Sub.

It all depends on who has Pi Gua, Drunken and Tae Kwon Do...haha!

Well, since Nightwolf will have tae kwon do, I think he will be a top tier and one of the best.

Is Nightwolf gonna have Tae Kwan Do? That's confirmed? If it is that's awesome.

Obviously this is a complete guess, but based on past fighting styles, and perhaps even how good certain characters were in past games, I'll say this about the 20 character that I know of:

Top tier: Insanely good

Mileena (she's always good in MK games)
Liu Kang (he's always cheap in MK games)

Tier 2: The next best characters

Baraka (he'll be good, with strong weapon style)
Kabal (One of the best in MK3 will still be good)
Hotaru (Solid, with long range weapon)
Sub Zero (Always a tier 2 mainstay)

Tier 3: The Upper Midtier

Scorpion (They'll tone him down from last game)
Kira (Similar to Sonya)
Nightwolf (Good, like Kabal in MK3, but not great)
Ashrah (I think she'll play similar to Rayden)

Tier 4: The Lower Midtier

Ermac (Could have better new moves than Kenshi)
Smoke (They never make him a bad character)
Tanya (Probably one of the fastest characters)
Ben (Could be similar to Cage)

Tier 5: The Upper Lower Tier

Dairou (Similar to Hotaru, but not as good)
Sindel (Decent character with good range)
Kenshi (Similar to Ermac, but not as good)

This is nothing against Li Mei fans or Noob fans or whom ever. Some people have to go near the bottom. Basically, I'm just havin some fun here. I'll be curious to see how close I am.

PS: I REALLY hope that they don't use characters like Ashrah, etc just for the purpose of giving new characters old moves.

But I'm afraid it may very well be the truth.

I wouldn't be so sure of Skab being a low tier character. He reminds me a bit of Drahmin, and Drahmin was a very dominating fighter in DA.

Ah well, we can't really predict this, can we... who could have predicted that Cyrax was going to be the worst DA character?
