nothing has been confirmed about Jade or Kitana being playable, though Jade has a lot of potential to be playable in the game according to Sindel's bio in deception, and LiMei is not dead, she's playable in the game, and she wears a dragon king armor so she's propably evil and under the DK's control, but not confirmed

Ninja Girls: Jade is also basically confirmed, and Kitana is kidnapped by the DK.

Evil People: Actually it's pretty equal, Ermac and Sindel are good now (Sindel is at least) and Hotaru I'm pretty sure is Neutral.
Sareena: Demon girl in MKM: SZ and also appeared in MK:TE

That whole Li Mei being controlled by the dragon king doesn't make sense. In her ending her soul was placed into the body of one of his soldiers. She is clearly in her own body in MKD

Yeah I was wondering about that myself, but since she's wearing a drangon king amor and she was trapped in the body of a soldier, I thought she was under the DK's control
(I can't think of any other reason why she would wear that armor, but that's just me )

It's doubtful that Sonya'll be killed off any time soon. She's probably just sitting this game out and will be back in MK7.

Kitana's been captured by the Dragon King and Jade is helping Sindel free her. It's been rumored that Jade and maybe Kitana will be secret playable characters but nothing's been officially confirmed.

No word on what Li Mei's deal is yet.

Sareena was one of Quan Chi's personal assassins. She turned against him and helped Sub-Zero defeat him because she wanted Sub-Zero to help her escape the Netherealm. Her human form was then destroyed by Shinnok and she was sent to the 5th Plane of the Netherealm as punishment for helping Sub-Zero.
In MK:TE she escaped the Netherealm and regained her human form. The current Sub-Zero let her stay with the Lin Keu in return for her helping his brother against Quan Chi.
