Being that Raiden is a god, hes also immortal. Hes been around for thousands of years. What my question is, if hes been around for so long, then why does he seem to refer to the Dragon King as if he were a new threat. Im not saying thats what Raiden said, but what im trying to say is, do you think they ever came into confrontation when the King was in rule? The Dragon King ruled Outworld, loooong before Kahn ever grasped the throne. Do you think Raiden and the DK ever fought or have crossed one anothers paths? It doesnt seem like Raiden knows much about him, other than his basic origin. You would think that being around for so long, he would know what DK is all about and make a bigger deal of him. If he was such a menace, they had to have crossed paths, right? Perhaps since DK has never openly tried to take over Earthrealm, Raiden never saw him as a threat? Outworld isnt Raiden's dominion... what are your thoughts?

Also, why is it we never see where Raiden resides in the Heavens as a MK level or just period? Where is his housing? Where does he train? We have never seen anything like that of Raiden. A god or not, he must have some place of residence. He doesnt just sleep on a cloud I dont think. Hes got to have a palace or something up there, I think its time we see it for a change. It be a kickass level for MK, if you ask me.

i think that the dk never attempted to take the earthrealm, so that's why raiden was never concerned about him. as for his house, i would like to see it. he did have that one stage in mk4, but i doubt that's where he lived.

That was a level dealing with the Elder Gods... you can see one of their faces in the background.

So if DK wasnt a menace to Earth, then why is he such a big deal now? Maybe now he will try and conquer Earthrealm?

I was thinking this to. Maybe at the TIME the DK wasnt obsessed with ruling earthrealm like kahn was. Raiden probably thinks hes a threat because he knows about the DK's army and how he ruled the OUTWORLD. Raiden must know that the DK conquered all in outworld, and he must think the DK will probably strike sometime at earthrealm. Hes right to think that. By the sounds, it seems the DK is even more bad ass than Kahn.

I think think that Raiden has dealt with the Dragon King before. He is treating him as a new threat to the new defenders of earth. If anything, Raiden was probably the one who beat the Dragon King in the first place.

Outworld has slowing been growing since Kahn took over and conquered realms since the Dragon King's fall. Perhaps at the time the Dragon King fell, Raiden wasn't too concern with Outworld. I was wondering did the Dragon King fall before, after or during that war he had with Shinnok 'thousands of years' ago? If it was during the war, perhaps Raiden was more concern with a Fallen Elder God than a distant Dragon King.

In regards to his home, it would be interesting to find out more about it. My guess it would have a Japanese feel to it with a storm/weather motif. Of course he could have it updated to include the newest in electronics.

It was stated that the war between Shinnok and Raiden was thousands of years ago, when the Elder Gods sent Raiden to Earth to act as the realm's Guardian. When Shinnok arrived to conquer the realm, the two Gods engaged in a titanic battle. Their combat almost destroyed the entire planet, and for many centuries Earth was plunged into darkness. Shinnok was responsible for the death of an entire civilization, that of the Raptors, whose survivors fled to the realm of Zaterra.

This is of course hinting to perhaps the "extinction" of the dinosaurs... so this was a looong time ago. I think its before DK's time. Though its not specific when DK's rule was. It just states that he was an "ancient" ruler... how old is ancient? Your guess is as good as mine.

I can see how a god would be more concerned of another gods intentions rather than a king. Even if this king has great powers and rules a vast army of dragons. One god, theoretically, could wipe out an entire army. He could even kill a king. But to kill another god, well that's another story all together. Raiden's dwelling (crib)? This I imagine to be on top of a high mountain (Zion) lol..or even in the clouds over looking, and closely guarding his people from evil threats that may arise. He is the the glue that unites the others combatants in defeating the enemies of earth. Raiden Rules!!!

What if the Raptors were ancient ancestors of Reptile's race? Wouldn't that make Reptile an earthling?

Raiden may new of what the Dragon King was and his orgins but never feared him cause I think that the DK never knew about the earthrealm. He was too worried about conquering the Outworld that he never knew. After the DK awakes he may now know of earthrealm when he see warriors that are not from the land that he once knew. Seeing this he becomes aware of another world and also knowing that he has his "unbeatable" army he decides to find this earthrealm.

I've always wondered where Raiden lived. Maybe he wondered the world, staying here and there and seeing the world(earthrealm) for what it is. Maybe he did have a place in the clouds that was he lived. It would be nice to see who and what the Dragon King is and his past with Raiden's as well.

With Raiden the protector of Earth and the Dragon King the ruler of Outworld, it would be nice to know who both of these figures really are. P.S....whatever happen to Fujin? He was a God, so what happened to him? Just disappear?

Well last time we heard of Fujin, he and Raiden went to help the Elder Gods fight Shinnok's forces, for which Fujin was made Guardian of the Realm of Earth, while Raiden became an Elder God. During Quan Chi’s alliance with Shang Tsung, Fujin watched over Earth Realm while Raiden led his forces into Outworld and beyond to fight the many enemies there. So persumably Fujin still is Guardian of Earthrealm... but it seems he stays and watches the place, while Raiden is the "active protector" and brings the fight to the forces of Evil.
