UK Tournament in London, anyone interested?
Hi, I am apart of [link=http://www.neoempire.com]Neoempire.com[/link] which pretty much runs the UK fighting game scene. We regularly run events throughout the year; [link=http://www.supervsbattle.com]Super VS Battle[/link] , Summer Showdown, Fighters Days, Rebirth, Rankingbattles and Iron Man(23rd september), offering cash prizes for the top place finishers. All our events are held in [link=http://www.neoempire.com/ssmap.htm]Yates Bar in Harrow, London[/link] , apart from Ranking Battles which are held in Goodge Street Casino Arcade
And the reason i am writing this post, is that i am researching in whether or not it would be a good idea for us to run any Mortal Kombat tournaments at one of our future events. I am unaware of any competitive scene for any Mortal Kombat games here in the UK or in Europe. But if there is one, could someone please direct to their site, or email address so i can get in contact with them.
Anyway down to to business
If we ran a tournament for any MK game it would be held in Yates bar obviously, and i want to get a rough idea of how many people would be interested in going?
I am typically looking for obviously a good turnout. 32+
What sort of price would you all be willing to pay to enter? £5/£10/£15?
Obviously the higher the entrance fee, the more prize money there will be. If 50 people enter at £10 each thats £500 prize money in pot, roughly £300 for 1st, £150 for 2nd, £50 for 3rd.
All our tournaments at yates have a venue fee to pay for the venue, which is typically £5 which is a seperate fee, this may seem expensive, but its a great environment, a bar, food, toilets, lots of space, etc.
Which Game(s) Obviously MKA would be the obvious choice, but is there support for MK games. I wouldn't suprised if there was a decent following for MK2, UMK3 and MKD

At the big events we typically run following games listed below, would you enter any of these? Are there any other fighting games you would also be interested in entering which aren't mentioned in the list below?
-Street Fighter 3: third strike (ps2)
-Hyper Street Fighter 2: anniversary edition (ps2)
-Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection (ps3)
-Virtua Fighter 5 (ps3)
-Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core (ps2)
-King of Fighters 2002 (neogeo aes)
Other games we have or can run:
-Capcom vs Snk 2 (ps2)
-Street Fighter Alpha 3 (ps2)
-Marvel vs Capcom 2 (dc)
Anyway thanks in advance to any that reads and answers this post. It would be greatly appreciated. While all comments are welcome, i am mainly interested in just what the UK and European community have to say.
Thanks
