Unfortunatly there is no trigger event list. There is no way to know what activates them. Since this is the Renderware platform, I'm assuming they are using the default colision triggers for most of the items. This is built directly into the code, which is compiled and encrypted.
The text I'm reading is from flat text files embedded into the game, or certain 3d model file tag/bone name information.
I've been trying to trace things.

no reference to the ninja star use
raidens staff has a use aparently
there is mention of a green key

well i know the keys are true, because i have the onyx, and I have heard other people talk about the others too.

My theory on the multi-colored keys...
Platinum Key (Key) - From the dead body in the netherrealm.
Onyx Key (Mysterious key)- I think you get it from the "hide and seek" boy in the village.
Sapphire Key (Blue key) - From the park in the village "A-6"
Jade Key - ???
Ruby Key (Parents hut key) - ("D-5", in the village) From one of the children, after you punch the bully, Makko, in the park.
Gold Key (Old Woman's hut key) - Hit the old woman at the gates in the village.

Ah HA!!!

3 Rings + 5 colored Keys (minus the Jade key) = 8 total!!!
Maybe I am onto something?
