Ah true, I forgot about the whole Reiko-Kahn conspiracy. Also, he is apparently from Outworld, so maybe he knew Shao Kahn before he went to the Netherealm and wanted to be him the whole time he was in Shinnok's armies? I dunno. Just a theory.

I stand by my assertion that Reiko was Kahn's general before he died and became Shinnok's, based on his cameo in Deception Konquest, and the fact that he has the eyes and powers of a Wraith.

I think that the powers are just because he was in the Brotherhood of the Shadow, not that he was a wraith.

He's from both Outworld AND Hell, and he and Noob are the only two characters with pupil-less eyes that glow blue.

Logic dictates he's undead. You can have your own theory if you like, I just think mine makes the most sense.

Reiko's eyes are white. I don't recall him having blue eyes at all.

on m64 version reiko has white eyes and razor not meaning to be an arse but they are partualy white closer to the middle

In Armaggedon gameplay and konquest they both have white. But oh well who cares anyway. I am all for saying he is a wraith. It would explain the power connection better beause Sareena,Quan Chi,and others were all trained as Brotherhood of shadow. But only Noob was a wraith and Reiko has some of his powers. This makes perfect sense.

OK lets just end the whole eye thing with this. They change. I have seen him with mostly white eyes and he has blue eyes in renders.

New solution to Noob similaritys. Since they had too many ninjas they just gave Reiko Noobs powers. That way you could have the powers of Noob without another ninja. Maybe its just to replace Noob. That would explain the power and fatality connection. Or they're both wraiths.

Well, regarding the whole eye thing, I think he has white eyes during game play, but blue in his official renders.



And regarding the powers thing, it was because they replaced Noob, who was originally planned to be in MK4, with Reiko, and hence, he inherited Noob's powers since the MK team was probably too lazy to give him his own personality.

That's exactly what I ment but put in a way that's easier to understand.

reiko has his own moves the only one he shares with noob are the shurekens and tele grab

And they both have the same fatalities,use hammers and have similar grabs, (both use flips)
