it would be nice to see, but its not likely.

yeah its just one of the subtle nuances that got lost over time.

kinda seems like they were gonna work it into MK:DA but didnt finish it. because a couple of the loading screens do have characters in the versus screen poses.. like the Shang Tsung one.

I really loved th versus screen from mk3, the characters rocked in those badass positions...I loved to see it again, but in 3d, something like in soul calibur 2, where you can even say something to your opponent

I even liked the one from streetfighter2 where a small text was placed underneath the warriors.

Would be great if you can place your own text messages underneath the warriors pics in the versus screen.

And not a new text everytime, just a standard or else you would have to take to much time filling in the text.

I would love to see the Versus Screen again. What they could do is take the E3 select screen with the character pics at the top and then when you selected, the selection grid disappears. Then the camera zooms in on the chosen characters and they're enlarged. A huge Vs sign can appear in between them. If there were some character animation to go with that, I think it'd be awesome!

ehhhh sorry to be the bad apple but i didn't like that only if you see their whole body doing a pose or something or it could be that but i didn't like that code breakers at the bottom either. Butttt they could revamp the old school versus screen thennn I'll lik it

Were you even alive when the "old school" versus screens were used, man??

i think the vs screen from Mk3 was prolly the best. They all had a cool lil pose before the fight, but i agree that it could be improved on. it wopuld be cool if it had a soul calibur feel to it. I Think they should have the quotes, but if they do then they would prolly be kinda b-movie lines like scorpion saying-"I'll see you inhell. Or sub-zero going- Freeze! If they had enemy specific quotes that would be cooler.

Could we work out something like the Soul Calibur II vs. screens, where they can maybe utter a quote beforehand?

Not only would i like to see the Versus screen back.I also like to see the characters victory pose back when you choose them on the select screen like in mk2-mkt.

U're right about the Shang Tsung versus pic in MK:DA, good point.

The versus screen is one of my favorite things about MK3/UMK3/MKT/MK4 because they are so cool. My favorite things about them are the Kombat Kodes you can do with the symbols at the bottom. Imagine doing Blocking Disabled or Dark Kombat in MK:D. That would rock!
