Maybe characters share fighting styles according to their stories? (like Tanya/Jade...) maybe that's what he meant by "fusing"...

I think it Basicaly means Smoke and Noob have the same special moves! and or even Fatalities!

I'm assuming that they will somehow be linked in story.

People seem to have problems with people having the same fighting styles. So what? If one or two characters share something based on background/story/skill, what can really be said?

It isn't as if people in the real world are limited to a personal style. Anyone can learn any number of things. So long as none of the characters become a complete duplicate, I'll be pleased...


I assume that Noob or Smoke may share a fighting style.. Or perhaps they have similiar special moves that allow some similar effects? They may be able to produce a combo cycle that resembles the other without actually being the exact same..

Smoke and Noob will have juggle combos. but they will have diffrent fighting styles. thats what im thinking. they won't be the same

perhaps they literally meant that they have fused them into one character? i think it would be a very dodgy move considering the fan base for each of the original characters.

Think of it this way, perhaps noob took over smoke, to get closer to subzero to kill him of. or perhaps to stop him from stopping the dragon king. that would make for a very good deception. Subzero may have to kill smoke, when really smoke cant do a single thing to stop noob controling him.

I think this whole thing is getting blown out of proportion. The statement probably just meant that they played similiarly.

But if they did fuse as one, that would be extremely unfair to the fan bases of both characters.

its simple. they have the same template. theres 24 characters with 2 fighting styles and 1 weapon style each. so thats 48 non weapon styles right? but i gaurantee theres not 48 different fighting styles in the game so a few characters have the same fighting styles intermixed.

just like in MK:DA where blaze and mokap had other peoples fighting styles.

thats all he meant.

That's what I'm hoping for.. I hope fighting styles reapeat.. that way if u like a style but hare the moves or the character.. u can pick another one..

And someone said he like one fighting style and hates the other like for example you want shang tsungs snake and quan chis baji quan, and kung laos broadsword. Well noob and smoke betetr nto have the same fighting style, thats what shuginko is for, you MAKE his fighting styles and his weapons. now lets see super HIDDEN fighters,who could they freaking be!!!! we seen lui kang, JADE, and smoke, and noob, hell who are these super hidden people!!!! i know Fujin is one, the sub boss chimera is two. i now those losers from the jailcell arent these super hidden fighters, who are they, the shokan maybe is not on the fighter select screen and might be another, but i am thinking shao khan, or kintoro or something!!! jade,smoke,noob, and kang arent the super hidden fighters which they are badass thats why i am gonna be shocked of who these fighters are, plus we wanted MK2 mystery and we will get it. We know who the 24 fighters are even the shadow unlockables, but i KNOW we wont know the super hiddens till we work together and start finding them. CANT wait. that chamleon thing we saw in the trailer that ran behind the tree could be playable too. DAMN. i am assuming maybe about 6 or 7 super hidden fighters.

Mabey smoke and noob have the same space on the character select screen...like for instance I pick Noob Saibot..and pressing start will make him turn into smoke..and they each will have the same moves. its just that Noob saibot's secondary outfit is smoke. Mabey. I hope not.

It's not a brother of shadow logo. Compare the two side by side.

ok heres my take:

characters like noob and smoke will play as though they are two characters fused into one (not with each other) and as a result they will have weird combos.

in mk 3 or whatever...noob had the clone move where there was two of him on screen where his clone or shadow threw the guy so that the other noob could combo his ass.

look at smoke - my guess is that he may have the ability to dissipate and reform elsewhere like a teleport. therefore he may start to combo you, do a popup and then appear above/behind you and finish the combo therefore creating the illusion that it feels that there is two characters fighting one.

noob and smoke are not fused

its probably lke smoke is gonna be like a smoke guy and noob is gonan be like this shadow and probably make a shadow smoke guy i dont know.Or maybe sumthing with thier storyline that they want to fuse with each other.

They could have decided to fit in more characters by having the start button to change between two characters that are very similar.. in this case Noob/Smoke and perhaps from what I have seen possibly even Tanya/Jade. Kind of like in (UGH hate this game) Tekken 2, with Kuma/Panda and Roger/Alex. Bad Bad reference... but still.
