Yep. That's Smoke for sure! Just think -- his hollow body could fill up with toxic gas before he launches it at the opponent!! How cool would that be?

If that is Smoke then that means reptile probably isn't in the game cause he is in the square that everyone thought was reptile or a new shokan. I don't think they did a good job on him from the pic. Also, with that what about the two other squares that looked like a cyborg, that means cyrax and sektor might be in it. None of this is 100% correct it is all a guess based upon if that character is smoke.

Thats so strange, I personally don't know how to react to that rendition of smoke. I almost wish he were still a cyborg, perhaps the look will grow on me but for now it just seems weird.

Nope, that is not smoke; there is no "smoke" around him, The MKteam wouldn't make that kind of mistake trust me.
There is the brother of the shadows logo on his boots, Noob belongs to this clan and not smoke.
That is Noob alt outfit!

Sorry bro, but I've known for more than three months what Smoke was going to look like. Also note that on the E3 select screen, Noob was in one square, while the ninja above was in another. I'm prepared to swear on everything holy that this character is Smoke.

I dont see anything on his boots. I think its a new character like on the select screen next to Kenshi i keep saying. Maybe Smoke.....Edit: Ok i can see through him so thats Smoke. Yay.

No, bro, take a closer look. You can see that he is somewhat transparent due to him being made of Smoke. At first I thought it was Noob too, but after taking a closer look I've no doubt it is Smoke.

it is smoke..look at him he's transparent.. his body is smoke..he doesn't need smoke surrounding him!!

Sorry but I'm 100% sure he is not. there is no reason why Smoke is half transparent, and he doesn't belong to the Brother of the Shadows clan, Look at his boots, you can see it clearly!

The reason he's transparent is because he's manifested himself as an ethereal form of Smoke. Keep in mind, the brotherhood of the Shadow disbanded. Not even Noob is a member anymore. The symbol you're referring to isn't even canon, as it wasn't in any of the mainline MK games(that I know of. I could be wrong about this).

He even has the grey and black color scheme. You have a good argument, but based every bit of inside information I've been given, that character is Smoke.

although your signature is hilarious, MaxDam, i can not agree you. for one, i don't see anything relating him to the Brothers of the Shadow on his boot. and second, so what if he isn't surrounded by smoke. Team MK is just trying something different. also, last i checked Noob Saibot is black not transparent.

...Assuming that really is Smoke, I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. For one, the pants are terrible. I don't know a single male who would wear pants like that. Two, his gloves look incredibly too big. Three, what the HELL is wrong with his face and those horn like protrusions on his mask? It might look better if its up close, but in that picture Smoke looks awful.

Yeah I thought it was Smoke at first also, and then I went to the idea that it was Noobs alt. But then I went away from both of them due to one crucial thing...the mask that he is wearing is not a ninja mask...its something different. I am woundering if maybe this isnt a hidden character or a new character???

Raiden has the same eye color as noob, but that doesn't make them the same character. And his boots/gloves are totally different. Smoke has a grey metal plates on his boots, and his gauntlets are much smaller than noobs.

im not sure what to make of it, clearly he does have the symbol of the shadow on his boot, but his mask is more chinesse like sub's. lin kuei hint and his body is see through abviouse smoke, i just dont know anymore but i hope it is smoke
