You do realize Midway releases these things (ie: trailers, pics, etc.) in order to get fan-feedback incase something's wrong, right?

The same goes for E3 as well. In case something's wrong, they can fix it before October.

The lineup is amazing and still growing from the rumors, and the amount of features is also amazing. Awesome fatalities, several new and old revamped modes of play, how can you NOT like this? If you don't like this game so far, you aren't a true MK fan. I can play ANY of them over and over and never get sick of it. Maybe I'm just really hardcore :)
I just really hope Midway doesn't read these threads and listen to some of the people in it. Add to the line-up, but dont trade characters for others simply because theres one hardcore jade fan out there. Please Midway, expand but do not take away. The current lineup is perfect to me, so dont take any away, just ADD more. And stop complaining people, or we're going to get a much worse game. Lets make them more graphic, and while we are at it, lets add in that character, he/she is very popular."?!
They are also releasing trailers of a game they have been working on for years, to get fans interested...they are not going to make any major changes at this late stage, they have a release date and everything for heavens sake. E3 and trailers are called promotional material, like a trailer for a film, for example.

For starters, its an 'a' not an 'o.' Second, EVERYTHING is promotional material before a release date. That's obvious. They can't add in solid gameplay data like characters or stages, BUT, skins and colors they can change at this stage. They can easily add more blood, more graphic looking organs, a palette change, etc.

I have nothing bad to say about it. This is the Mortal kombat that I've always wanted.

People have a right to bitch, some simply excersise that right with vigor. So much so it often seams to be nothing more than blatant harshness and distain thrown at the game; they sound like haters, essentially. This is often not the case, though. The MK series is and always will be about the "fanboys" and "fangirls." It's one of those franchises whose fans are very oppinionated and vocal in regards to "their" game. It's simply the nature of the MK fan; they're just that way.

Sometimes these oppinions are educated and valid, other times they are not. As humans we seam to be attracted to the oppinions and ideals which we do not wholey agree on; so we fight, bitch, piss and moan until someone takes notice of OUR oppinion.

Some of us - like myself - were extremely dissapointed in DA; though, my dissapointment is for other reasons than character design, fats, asthetics, etc. Peeps look at what they thought was wrong with DA and see no change in the present material regarding Deception. Being the beast that is an MK fan, they get beastly. This forum is a place where their oppinions can be expressed and heard, so they express them; educated, valid, or retarded as they may be.

Personally, the Big D is looking to be an amazing MK, and amazing "game." Perhaps even the greatest MK, even surpasing MK2 if online and comp is decent. From what I've read and from what I've seen, it still looks like a shitty "fighting game." That's a whole other topic, though.

The game is shaping up to be one of the best MK's in my opinion, and with online play, konquest, etc, this could be the best fighter since Soul Calibur 2!
Wanderer, I'm sorry I spelt your name wrong, and you are right that little changes that you mentioned can be made at this stage, but they are not likely to rework the game as some people seem to want. I can't wait to see Mileena and Tanya kick the ass of Sub-Zero and Scorpion, and battle online...this game is going to be great, I can just feel it!!!

I think it's working what you are trying to do with this thread. It even calmed me down after reading some other threads :-d .
And I also think that some wise words were said here. It was best if everyone just spoke their minds about the game (negative or positive) without pissing of somebody or being pissed on.

And while you brought Soul Calibur up. Do you think that Konquest will have similiar fight like Soul Calibur has with it's story mode?? You know, a fight where you for exemple only get life of a person when he is airborn and all? Because that is what I think lacked in the previous konquest, it felt more like a tutorial (never have played that one till the end, still gotta do it). So this is not an opinion, it's a question.

I hope that the konquest mode will be like The mission mode in SC2, it has a long life and makes for very interesting and enjoyable playing.

Personally I think MKD looks to be the best MK yet. MKDA took it a step up, and now MKD is taking it 5 steps further.

But yeah, MK fans are all about the bitchy bitchy. If we don't, nothing gets changed that needs to. I'm sure I read in an interview somewhere that alot of the things in MKD are thanks to fans bitching about MKDA.

Do the creators really visit these pages? I know when a new game goes through it's preliminary stages, the creators ask for feedback from the last game...but I really don't think that means that this forum needs to be filled with such negative threads, particularly at this stage...I mean no one has enen played the game yet!!!

ok heres the thing we wait for the game to come out find out there are problems and the bitching begins then we have to wait another couple of years before the next one comes out for midway to fix the problems
if we bitch as much as possible now give them as much oppinions as we can maybe something can be done before the game is finished and released and then we'd save ourselves having to wait the 3 years for the next one

Ok, but I was thinking more of after E3. Also, how do we know for 100% sure that Midway visit here? Has any complaint ever been subdued in the games previously? I'm not bitching, I simply don't think that it has. I'm more about realism and optimism these days, and dont want to get disappointed when a game is released in several months time with no changes.

I have a strong feeling that a lot of this information posted here by the fans makes it to the ears of some sort of Midway worker..

Several users on this forum have friends and family in the business.. so don't doubt it for one moment.

Ok, please don't think I'm being all negative, because it would be great if they do come here or take on board some of the comments said on here, I just think it sounds a little unlikely that some of the features you guys are complaining about will be dramatically altered, after they have spent three years creating this game, especially as they know that no-one has even played it yet. Sorry, but that is just the way I would feel if I had spent so long making a new game!
If they do, and some of the points are changed, then thats cool, but I think we should trust them to provide us with a geat game, that pleases a majority of the fans. And, lets face it, deception sounds and looks as if it is going to be great! I'm all for giving the game the chance it deserves, and then start the bitching if I'm thoroughly disappointed.

Wrong, they can change anything they want before the game goes to publish, and since they are also the publisher, they can even go back and change things after that.

err, are you sure? If it takes three years to create what they have so far, how long will it take to change 'major' things? They are publishers, true, but that just makes it quicker and easier from the game so far to home/arcade versions. I personally do not want a major hold on the release date due to major improvements...that would just be silly. It would suggest that the game they have made for three years wasn't good enough...and we simply do not know that yet, do we?
