i like the idea of weapon fatalities, but there's one thing that might be difficult to do...

there are a lot of sword based weapons (straight sword, broad sword, katana, ninja sword, etc.)

how are they gonna come up with different ideas for each sword? you can only do so much with a sword.. either, impale (which you can do already in mkda during gameplay), cut their head off, cut their limbs off, cut them in half, or cut their shlongs off. which probably wont happen.

well they could have like different bases with the sword fatalitys, like scorpion could take his ninja sword atart slicing into the chest and then slice the feet off so the person will fall and on their chest aswell which will cost them to bleed even more the scorpion could raise his sword andslice the persons head in half

How does TE pull off weapon fatalities?

In any event, with a little imagination, you can do quite a bit with swords. There`s a variety of ways you can go about just slitting the throat.

Kenshi could control the sword telepathicaly and do some weird ass shit with a flying sword.

Insert in mouth/throat, pull out heart or some other organ.

Chop body in half. I didn`t care for Hsu Hao but when his opponents' torso tried to crawl away, that alone validated his presence in the game.

Impale, then yank while pushing opponent off with foot.

Decap and skew.

Carve out some symbol à la Zoro.

Stick weapon inverted in the ground. Slam opponent into sword.

Cut in half like Kung Lao from MK2.

Impale, throw opponent into a wall and he/she stays stuck...or... throw opponent into wall then impale.

Stab foot. Opponent bounces on other foot in pain. Cut off leg and watch opponent fall. Laughter.

Throw sword high in the air (off screen). Watch for a second. Grab opponent and relocate him/her so that the sword fall directly onto them.

Cut off top of head and start frying his brain in a pan. Feed brain to opponent. (Hannibal reference)

Weapon fatalities should be a no-brainer (pun intended) but then again, so many things were before MK:DA so we`ll see.

mk:te weapon fatalitys are better then the original, you have to either earn them (like cyrax in beating 10 people in survival) or buying them (like nitaras) they just wall off and just pull off a cool combo with them, some are stupid like bo' rai cho's, but some are cool as hell (like noob's and scorpion's) but i would love to see them in full 3d in mk6

scorpion's ninjasword fatality:ground explosion

he take his sword and he cut the victims arms off
the victim screams a litle wile he cut is legs off
the oppenent falls on his back scorpion jumps verry high in the sky and he smashes the sword in the ground scorpion does 3 steps backwards and the victim screams again and the BOOM!! the oppenent exploding in too pieces. Fatality!!

Sounds like crap to me (to be honest). If they are gonuig to do weapon fatalities they should keep it short, simple, mercyless and brutal.

I read fatalities that coud last almost 2 whole minutes.

Why not have scorpion stab him in the stomach while looking in the dying opponents eyes. Have Jax pull out a gun and shoot him in the head while the opponent is begging for his life.

well now i dont mean a fatality long like two minutes, i mean like, scorpion trips the opponent, then walks to the opponents head, raises his ninja sword, and slice the head in half

i don't even like weapon fatalities unless it's their signature. like scorpian and his spear, and Kenshi and his katana sword.
