yep, weapons suck. like, i agree that certain characters like, baraka, kitana, mileena, scorpion etc (characters that one way or another, you got to see with weapons, like scorpion's ninja-to, or kitana's fans) should have weapon fighting styles, because they have weapons, and it would be stupid not to use them. but characters like Sub Zero, Ermac, Reptile, etc, that do NOT have any weapons in the storyline (characters that were given weapons just to have an armed fighting style) should not have weapon based styles. i mean, to see Sub Zero using an ice sword looks soo forced, he does not have any sword, nor any kind of weapon in the storyline, why must he have a weapon fighting style? i used Suby as an example, but it extends to many characters. (cyrax, sektor, smoke, motaro, sindel, shang tsung etc etc.. )

Hmm. Maybe if they were done better. Other than that I can tolerate them. But, they do need to be better as far as design for some and the whole style.

Maybe if they put a story behind the weapons like how Reptile got his kirehashi in that Nitara storyline.

no they don't, some weapons (like scorpions) are pretty cheap.
Scorpions F+1 is one of the safest pop ups in the game.

I think certain characters should have weapons ,but u have 2 do a combo or press certain buttons to pull them out..like:
Scorpion- since he has them on his back
Kano-on his legs
Sub-Zero }both can make them outa ice
Fost }

basicly any1 who makes since 2 have them instead of pulling them outa no where

I agree that only certain characters should have weapons, like Scorpion, Kitana, Mileena, etc. There are some people who shouldn't have weapons at all, like Jax, Liu Kang, and Sub-zero. There are some people I'm on the fence about having weapons, like Reptile, the Ninja Robots, and Johnny Cage.

Generelly also i think the design of the characters has not been so good, some of them like Rain, Scorpion & Ermac are really cool but Jax, & Johnny Cage looks like big steroid wrestlers & sekor is to tall and they just took away everything that made him cool. God i hope they will change everything, absolutly everything in the next game.

Well, LKF, Sektor's Pulseblades seem to fit his hi-tech theme, and Reptile's Kirehashi seems to emphasize his heritage, but the others I agree with.
