Still, I don't want to see Kang in MKD. He should sit out for at least another game or two. And if they bring Liu Kano into MKD, I will rip Vogel's leg off and beat him to death with it, ala Quan Chi, saying, "Quit hitting yourself!"

No you are not alone on that. Liu Kang used to be my favorite in the first 2 Mortal Kombats but then I picked up on the character Cage in Mortal Kombat II.

I keep hearing that Liu Kang's merging with Kano rumor was said to be false by John Vogel yet I don't see any writen evidence of this. If anyone could start a threat with that information it would be a good way to stop these kind of threads and leave this kind of question to rest.

I have no clue of how Liu Kang could return in any way none other than the fact of him defending his title in the next official Mortal Kombat tournament.
