what are your thoughts on Ashrah?

I didn't see any topics based on the female Raiden looking chik so I decided to make a topic and you can all share your thoughts on this kool new fighter chik.


I think she looks great! (there is a better screenshot of her in the new psm)...

What I like about her is that she looks very different from the other female fighters (she doesn't show any T & A) looks more focused in fighting rather than her cosmetics.


We know nothing about her story yet but I guess it's safe to assume that she is on the good side and is probably an Elder god (or something of that nature).

Wonder what kind of powers she will have, I hope it's not lightning, that would just make her like how frost is to subzero, that's why I didn't really like frost too much.

Too early to say at the moment, A replacement for Raiden from the Gods cos he is now retired or busy with something esle? It really is hard to say and so we can just speculate BUT we do have our ICE guy back (Subby), and Scorpion for FIRE and i suppose we need LIGHTNING still so she could be another thunder god or apprentice.

Infact could someone look up her name I'm sure there is already a God called Ashrah!?

I don't think she is a god or something.

Her outfit is cool. A mix of arabian(white-gold) and asian (the hat).
Her name Ashrah resembles, that she is from arabia or something.

From what i have chased up, there is some connection with an Egyptian God of Light by the name of Ashra not Ashrah. Ashra was a Titan God who had a child that was God of the Sky's!?

Asrah - Ashra - God - Arabic - Skys = Theres some connection I see.

I've found something different about Ashrah:

In the Hebrew Religion, there is a goddess of fortune called Gad. The male counterpart (the God of the Beggar) is called Ashrah!!

I think she looks awesome so far

but I really hope that she wont be a cheap raiden klone! I hope she will have her own and new special moves.

Eitherway it should be interesting to getting to know how moves and storyline, I don't think she has anyting to do with Raiden but i could be wrong.

I think she looks great. She has a very original outfit and I'm very interested in what her story will be and whether she is connected to Raiden in any way.

Given the info that Cervantes and CHSubZero have found, she could be very interesting.

I don't think she will replace Raiden because Fujin replaced him as guardian of earth and Rain can fill the lightning power part.

That'd be sweet! Ashrah the Water Goddess. That's a great idea! It'd be cool if she and Raiden did a water and lightning combo with increased damage!

Well I still think Raiden will be in the game, I don't think he died in Deadly Alliance. I think Ashrah is his apprentice and he's training her to compete in Mortal Kombat. I think she'll have some lightning moves, but the idea for her being mostly water oriented is a neat idea. As for my thoughts on her, well there's not much that can be said since we know little about her. I think she looks awesome, all white is pleasing to my eyes. I also like her name, very MK-ish. I look forward to getting more info on her.
