I am just curious as to what games you feel are the best. Now when I mean the best I dont mean right now if you played them next to each other. I mean the best at the time. This is the game that was high on the fun factor, hi on the replay factor, had some depth, good characters, it got better as you played it. These are the games that you either loved competeing against another person in the arcade, in your home or online.

I hated all the Capcom games. I also havent played a VF since VF3. The Fight Night series and the original MK almost made the cut on my list but werent quite as enjoyable as the other games. Also I havent played a tekken game since tekken 3. I dont count any pro-wrestling games. they are a different genre imo

1. UFC (dreamcast) This is possibly the best console game I have played. I still play it now
2. MK2
3. UMK3
4. Fighters Megamix
5. MKD
6. VF3
7 MKA
8. DOA4
9. UDOA
10. Tekken 3

I am sure that my list is different from yours and this is just my opinion. So before you say that my list sucks....you should know that I probably will think your list sucks

wow MKF you REALLY are a fanboy....MK4 over all the DOAs, VFs and tekkens. Funny I would have actually had MK4 on the worst fighting games of all time...but to each their own i suppose.

I never denied that, that's why I'm here in the first place.

I love the peeps that come to a site that supports a game they hate lol. Now that's hilarious.

MK4 is known by most as the worst MK, but I'd still rather play that then Tekken/VF.

I've played a lot worse games, the game isn't the best MK game for sure however it's not the worst fighting game on earth either. That's how I feel about that game.

Here goes my best list:

1. MKD - Totally KONSUMED me!!! I bought 3 different consoles (NTSC XBOX, PAL XBOX & PAL PS2) just for this game. What a sad loser!!!

2. Killer Instinct - I loved the sound effects, the characters were so diverse and there was great depth to this game. Very unique game overall.

3. MK3
4. MKA
5. DOA 4
6. MKDA - Used played this every evening with my GF. Shame it wasn't online enabled.
7. UMK3 - I'm putting this in just to please MKF but I never actually played this game as much as I played MK3 on SNES.
===========From this spot down are games I actually never devoted time to but I'll list them anyway.
8. Street Fighter II Turbo - but not a huge fan of Capcom either but whatever!
9. Tekken - Only played this at friend's house
10. Soul Caliber - Friend's house again but cool game

And last but not least, my best all time game not just fight game is (drums rolling....) GOLDENEYE!

Did anyone ever play Revolt on Dreamcast?

Best game of all-time imo is KOTR. The best graphics at the time. GREAT story line. The idea of openended story the entire good jedi or bad jedi thing was awsome.

Also has anyone here played the UFC game for Dreamcast. I couldnt imagine peeps who like fighting games leaving it off the list. That game if it were ported to Xbox360 without ANY changes except online capabilities would be the best fighting game hands down. The graphics are BETTER than most current fighters. DEFINITELY better than any MK game almost as good as Fight Night. The gameplay in that game has no equal imo. The create a fighter (although more balanced than MKA) isnt that robust. I think I have said this before...but if the new UFC game is as good as the dreamcast version and can be played online...well you guys probably wont be seeing me for awhile

Sega really made a mess with Dreamcast. It was such a great console. Years ahead of its time. So many damn cool games on that shit!

hmmm arcade that is a very interesting selection. I am surprised no MKA on there. i can also see you are a fan of the capcom games. The entire VF series was also missing...have you ever played any of them. Have you ever played the UFC games.

@Trax....i personally thought the Dreamcast was as good as the xbox. When I switched I didnt notice a large jump in game quality. Matter of fact the UFC games on the xbox I find far inferior in alot of ways. I only bought xbox because Dreamcast wasnt making anymore games. Funny I only bought the 360 because xbox wasnt making anymore games....but then again I noticed a big jump between the xbox and the 360

@MKF...normally I would agree about your point that you shouldnt support a game you dont like. But damn MK4 was sooo bad to me. If MK4 was the current game i would be playing VF or DOA...matter of fact. at MK4 I started playing VF3 and Tekken 3. Have you ever played any of those games for any length of time. They are quite sweet. I wasnt a big Tekken fan but it was enjoyable and it held me over until MK got its act straight. VF is very solid. DOA seems like T&A version of VF. But like I have said before...what really held me over was UFC. That game is far superior to any game. It was easy enough for any beginner to have fun. But there was alot of depth to the game beyond the simplicity. I dare say that was a flawless fighting game. Plus there werent any glitches as far a I new or saw (and I played the shit out of that game)

In no particular order:

1. Soul Calibur 3

2. Tekken 4

3. Bloody Roar 3 (they should seriously make a Bloody Roar online)

4. Street Fighter EX: 3

5. Bushido Blade

6. Super Smash Brothers Melee (most fun with four players)

7. Enter The Matrix ( vs mode )

8. Primal Rage

9. Mortal Kombat Deception (now after playing MKA, I've decided MKD is better in most areas)

10. Tenchu: Wrath Of Heaven ( vs mode )

I've been very lazy to even consider playing a Virtua Fighter game. I need to sometime though for sure.

UFC didnt really impress me too much... I've played the one for gamecube, and hated it

UFC's stupid in general. How can you call that shit martial arts. They're fighting like people do in high school. Random shit. Put any of those guys up against guys like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, or Bruce Lee, they'll get whomped.

Ehh, to each his own man. To me the UFC games are boring as hell(sorry dude) but those to me are no different then wrestling games and I don't even consider them in the same boat as "fighters" more in the boat of "entertainment" or sports games.

I'm just not a fan of VF/Tekken, never have been, never will be. I do enjoy DOA though, I like that game much more then VF/Tekken. MK4 I like more for the story factor and fun factor rather then "gameplay" factor, but if it's MK I can play it all day man.glasses

BTW, to Pig actually Primal Rage, War Gods and Mace:The Dark Ages I found a lot of fun. Glad to see someone else besides me actually likes those games lol.

Then there's also a game called Bio-Freaks, anyone remember that game?grin
