If there is anything that you would add to make the series better, brand new ideas, please, what are they?

Example: For me I think suicides would be cool. Instead of giving your opponent the chance at a fatality, you decide to just do it yourself! I dont know, I like my idea......what's yours?

Sorry, I dont mean to add to my post....the reason for the above question would apply to maybe them being added to MK6.

Thanks

somethin missing from Mortal Kombat eh. If it was anything i'd say its that they bring way too many new characters in and leaving them to die after 1 game appearance (examples kai, reiko, jarek, tanys) thats just from MK4. Correct me if i'm in the wrong Thread but that whut i feel MK has lacked, Confidence in already created characters.

OutworldDemon, I definetally(spelling) agree with you. After the first game we dont see that many re-occuring characters. Yeah, if I remember right, all seven of the originals are still around. It would be nice to have a character elolve and have a deeper story.

Plus(of course) I thought of another idea....what about implementing sneak attacks? Example: during loading/match screen before a fight, you could enter a combination of buttons, and if done correctly you would get the upper hand by a couple hits.

very intrueging idea u got. It kind of sounds like in the Final Fantasy games when u sumthin end up behind them and hits then and yer hit does more damage (vice versa for the enemy behind u) but yea it is a cool idea.

In a sentence.. John Tobias' chinese mythological based characters. I mean he created pretty much every character for parts 1 and 2. Then in 3 he got too modern. The costumes in 3 were ridiculus, right out of a kid's Saturday morning superhero cartoon show. 4 was just weak, he tried to rehash Rayden with Fujin and just added copycats of characters that were already made. Tanya was a complete kitana ripoff. Quan Chi is the only new interesting character from 4 and 3 combined. In 5 it's Mavado.

I to believe they made some rash characters.. but some of them where cool.. like Nitara and Kenshin for example.. but the should stick to the originals and work from there a bit more.. but than again.. new blood is always welcome..
and I think what MK could realy use is some interactive stages and multilevel stages.. that would be sweet!! (and not like in MK4 where those ugly heads or rocks just lay on the ground and you can throw them.., I mean like in Tao Feng where you can swing around poles, run up walls,...) and they should have berzeker moves...

Names for characters and stages and groups. The Dragon King? That is just lazy. the Red Dragon, could they not think up a different name? Remember old stage names like the pit? They should go back to names like that.

Throwable items can go and get f***ed as far as I'm concerned. That was the worst idea ever to be implemented in MK ever.

Since MK4, the developement team seem to have abandoned all the old ideas that really were Mortal Kombat and have gone for newer ideas, perhaps to keep the series going.

Bring back arenas like "The Pit", they were cool. Ideas like ineractive scenary, such as jumping around poles and running up walls are awesome and should seriously be considered. Bring back the old 'uppercut opponent from the subway into the street' thing...it was cool, many ideas on this forum have been suggested to fit in with current Deadly Alliance arenas.

I liked MK for what it was, awesome characters, babalities, etc and all out gore. Sure MK:DA is cool but it seriously isn't as playable as something like Trilogy or 1 and 2 were. I can remember back in Nintendo 64 days my brother and I were playing Trilogy for months, MK:DA isn't like that.

Don't get me wrong, I think Deadly Alliance is cool, but it seems to lack what the retro MK's had.

P.S. What happened to the 'Toasty' guy?

i think that the have to put a lot of new chars. its more reallistic that way also. just bring back the ones that are important to have in the game and let the others be dead
also the idea of the sneak punches isnt good, have u seen that there isnt games using it anymore

What has the Mortal Kombat series been missing?

Besides a movie sequel with a story?
Well, they're missing environments as interactive as DOA. They should have environments like that, where one can move into another area of the arena, like off a platform or through a window.
