I would love it if Kobra is Kobra and Ben is Ben. IMO Kobra sounds way to cool to turn out to be ben. He could be another warrior from reptiles race, or perhaps the rumour about him being a vampire.

when i first read the name of kobra, i instantly thought of a possible new character belonging to the race of reptile's. It would be cool to see a partner of reptile with a good story line.

It could go like this:

Reptile has been chosen to become the dragon king, but his all time fellow, his most trusted friend when the zaterrans were on the verge of extinction, kobra, must travel through the portals to find his friend, and save him, putting a stop to the fulfillment of reptile's destiny: destroy all known forms of life.
