Well I don't really see how or why Rain would come back as a cyborg so my answer is that I think it would not be such a good idea if that were to happen.

I think that would be pretty... dumb! Why would Rain be turned into a cyborg?! He isn't even in Lin Kuei.

So what if he's not in the Lin Kuei. Hsu Hao isn't a Black Dragon and yet he has their laser abilities. I mean shit, it's just an idea you don't need to start wailing on about the aspects of Rain's story. All I'm saying is that if he was a cyborg he would probably look pretty cool.

Even it is kinda stupid, that does not mean Rain couldn't be a cyborg. It's alway easy to write something like this:
"... while Rain joined the LinKuei after ... messed up with his mind. He was later turned into a cyborg."

Well, I don't like much the cyborgs so I don't agree with this idea.

To me, Rain could back using the same uniform that his father used as a General of Edenia. I think that will be cool.

here's a story idea:
"when the black dragon came to outworld....they found rain and almost killed him......later found by lin kui menber das-ui, they saved him from death at the cost of his humanty. replacing his damaged parts with cybernic replacement parts, rain fights to find his killer."

Rain isn't a Lin Kuei member. He is from Edenia.

that should be Rain's new design and Bio Stated that he is the new generals of Edenia's army and was involved in the Battle where Goro's death was in.

I think we would be much better off with fewer cyber ninjas. That way, much less work will have to be done to make the fatalities more anatomically correct.

Well in Gavok's MK storyline FAQ thing, it states that there were plans to make Rain a former Lin Kuei member but that idea was scrapped and instead they made him one of Shao Kahn's minions whose origins are from Edenia. However, some of the bios that stated Rain as a former Lin Kuei member accidentally made it in some of the manuals for MKT.

So to sum it all up, he's not a Lin Kuei warrior but his appearance as a ninja looking character was never really explained.

It think it would be pretty cool, but not the bland cyborg of old. Like a completely new machine look.

But, the Lin Kuei is a force for good now, and I dont know who in Edenia would make him one, so it may not be possible story wise. Plus, I seriously doubt Rain will make it into any more MKs anyways.
