I thought Reptile was the Dragon King?

Most likely but I'm saying WHAT IF? Maybe it was Shao Kahn who took over Reptiles body, you never know. What I'm saying is that maybe it was Shao Kahn all along in Deadly Alliance within the incubated egg in the lava shrine stage. I know it sounds wierd, but hey, anything can happen.

It's not a bad idea, but I wouldn't be first in line to see it happen. I would prefer the Dragon King to be hunting Reptile, while Kahn fights to stay alive.

This is exactly what I assumed in the story I wrote about Shao Kahn winning MKD. I can get you a link if you haven't seen it. asically I assumed that he was the Dragon King in a previous life and he cast dark speels which would allow him to be reborn as the Dragon King if he were to die, only he would have control over when he came back as the King. And he would come back as the King at a time when all his enemies had revelaed themselves. So, when he came back as Kahn, he didn't want to be born as the DK then. I assumed that the DA killed him and that his soul was transferred to the egg in which he wa sto be reborn as the Dragon King. All he needed was a soul or body to posess and that was Reptiles. In my story he is back as the King, but powerful magic allows him to communicate as Kahn and he uses more magic to fuse his soul with that of one of the army members rendering himself invincible and then he proceeds to defeat everyone.
