It is a mythological beast. A chimera is a fire breathing creature that has the body of a goat, the head of a lion, and the tail of a serpent.

There is another type of Chimera that has 3 heads. The lion head as the main head, the goat head spouted from the back, and the dragons head on its tail.

Its an amazing mythological creature. It looks awesome IMO.

Not sure, but in the game Resident Evil they have a monster called a chimera, it is basically an insect looking thing that can walk on 4 or 2 legs and runs at you and bites you-- insect is the best I can describe it, but a chimera that you are refering to my not be Resident Evil's chimera.

Mabye the chimera is the Dragon Kings pet.That would be awesome.It would attack anyone who tried to enter the Dragon King's palace.I'm sure the MK version of a chimera will be badass.Mabye a part lion,part dragon,part human.

so essentially a chimera is a living being made-up of two, or more, living organisms spliced together as one living form.

cheesey dungeons & dragons version of a chimera below. in greek mythology, it was usually a one-headed beast with the body of either a goat or a female with lion and serpent features. in modern times it is usually a lab experiment.

Note that that is a different type of chimera. Our usual chimera is in the shape of human form. It stands up perfectly like any other MK characters. It also has wings and such. Its freakin awesome.

Agreed.

I thought everyone knew what a chimera was. Anyway, chimeras are badass. The coolest one Ive seen in a game is from Breath of Fire 3. Even though I really like them, Im not down with the goat head. Maybe MKD could have their its own twist on it.

I would LOVE to see a Cerberus as a sub boss as well, perhaps in MK7. A cerberus is a monstrous dog-like beast that has 3 heads. On all 3 of there necks, theres a huge collar full of spikes. They have spiked chains on there knees and arms. There teeth are huge, and there extremely vicious. According to backround info, this creature guarded the spiritual realm of hades. It would slowly eat anyone alive who would try to escape the realm.

This creature also has pitch red glowing eyes, and is huge. I would love to see it as a sub boss some time.

That sounds even better than a chimera.I would love to see a picture of one.
