Seems Liu's grave has been abused, and his body is now resurrected and has been tainted with evil and has began killing people...
Liu's soul has recognised this and now begins a battle against his physical form, to stop the killing..
Thats it in a nutshell, Im sure someone wud be kind enough to post the actual bio as I dont have it at the moment.
Cant see Liu being anything other than just "another storyline" in this one, dont think he will ave a major role in the main storyline [that being anything relating to the DK]

But honestly, I would have rather seen Kung Lao, since Liu Kang feels mostly filler. Don't get me wrong, I will certainly play as him once I unlock him, but other than that, he just seems to have that "filler" role taken up (a la Jax from Deadly Alliance)

Based on Liu Kang's story, it could be a possibility that Spirit Liu and Zombie Liu are two seperate playable characters, not just alt. costumes.
I don't know if this has been speculated on/disproved yet, but it could be a possibility. Of course, if it were true, it would be nice if they had different specials, fatalites, fighting styles, etc. Has anyone else thought of this?

I like the fact that they have been hush hush about liu kang. Unless there is really nothing there.
