What is the point of the colored keys?

I started a second profile, just so I could be in the village again to look for the colored keys XD Because I didn't know they existed my first time thru, so I didn't pick any up.
All I found so far is the blue key...... how many are there, and what's the point of them?

They all open different doors... But as far as anyone knwos there is no Jade-colored key. =/
