well think about it. theres way more characters for the developers to choose from and work with for instance their idea of "counter part characters". Besides. Everyone likes Marvel more anyways in general...mostly.

Look DC needed a game for the summer with the Batman movie comming out and came to Midway. So Boon came up with the crossover idea. No Marvel, SF, Transformers or G.I.Joe. Stop making stupid what if threads. The game is MK Vs. DC get over it. You can't stop it and they aren't going to change it just because you want them to.

Killer Instinct is the only world that would've made perfect sense given their 'Fatalities' aka No Mercies. Marvel would have been cool too mainly due to the X-Men. Actually, if it were to happen I'd prefer it to be just the X-Men they crossed the series with.

so far i agree with all of them.....uhh the Archie thing? lol when i saw that outloud i was like "Wat da Fuuuuck?" anyways. i mean think of it. You got Iron Man (Cyrax/Sektor), Spider-Man (not sure, actually), The Hulk (One of the big bosses/sub-bosses), Scorpion (Ghost Rider), Noob Saibot (Deadpool), Jax (The Thing), Baraka (Wolverine), Fujin (Storm), Raiden (Thor). Those are just a few of the counter parts as Boon talked about. Much more choices, and recognizable characters. If not Marvel, Fighter's Destiny, baby. (lulz!)

Mortal Kombat Vs Killer Instinct!!


HERES WHAT I DONT GET!!! For YEARS fans have been saying how cool it would be to see a cross over between these games.. This would be a great Idea.. two games who have alot in common.. two games with great characters who would fit together.. two dark bloody games... When Boon decided "hey i think a crossover game would be a good idea!" WHY DID HE NOT GRANT PEOPLE WHAT THEY ASKED FOR!? I Dont understand why he would choose DC over Killer Instinct! NO MORTAL KOMBAT FAN EVER ASKED FOR MK vs DC.

WE wanted a REAL Mortal Kombat game to premier on the next gen game systems. This is NOT a mortal kombat game.. scale back the blood, take away fatalities, change the fighting system we are used to... and add characters that dont fit with the game..

Is it just me, or does it seem like Ed Boon NEVER listens to what the fans want or ask for? The only time it seems like fans directly had an impact is when they complained about the lack of Stage fatalities in Deadly alliance.

So, I will play this MK vs DC.. I will give it a chance.. But I will NOT like it as much as the mortal kombat Im used to.. and I wont like it as much because its NOTHING that I wanted or hoped for..

Ed Boon, please give us something we'd like! REMEMBER THE GAME KILLER INSTINCT! THAT WOULD MAKE MK FANS HAPPY!

I posted a few VS options in another thread somehwere.I came up with a small list like this....

Iron & Blood
Bloody Roar
Dark Stalkers
Maybe Fatal Fury

Some of these games were not the best of games but with next gen tech and knowhow they could be redone to work together well with MK

Ironically, DC is about as high-profile a universe as Midway could hope to snag for a crossover like this. If they had gone with Killer Instinct or Bloody Roar, I very much doubt that Gamespot would have the game ranked as the number one talked about game right now.

When I think MK and the perfect match for their cast of characters, you can't go past the palette swapping potential of: Care Bears!

DC is too clean-cut and uptight for MK, imo. X-Men and Marvel in general are raunchier and more down to earth.

Personally, I'm surprised no one has said Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter.

Well if "worlds" absolutely had to collide, than I would have preferred Street Fighter.

I prefer MK games without the crossovers. But what can you do.

and if they were going to have a guest character make it Anubis from Unreal 2 and make Raiden's appearance and Bio in that game have some real meaning.

I actually would have preferred Marvel because I'm more familiar with the characters from the side. I really love the X-men series, but looking over some of the DC characters, there are quite a few interesting ones.
