LOL, in the intro of MK:DA, when Liu is fighting Shang Tsung, he uses Jeet Kune Do style the one created by Bruce Lee and used by Johnny Cage in the game. Just an observation.

Very good observation, I haven't noticed that.

Maybe he was watchin' cyrax do his routine and said, "That dude sucks, I think I'll go with my good stuff." Did the Y2K bug take out Cyrax's net?

Yeah, you're right, Liu is based on Bruce.

Actually, Pi Gua is Chinese, and Hapkido is Korean. I'm glad that Scorpion has Hapkido, but Pi Gua is not the right fighting style for him and they should have kept Ninjitsu for him.
As for Liu Kang's fighting styles, his other one would probably be Shaolin Fist or some other Shaolin fighting style.

I think pose wise, Scorpion kinda looks cool usuing hapkido and ...the other one

Yeah, he does for sure use Jeet Kune Do in the intro. It's really cool. You can even tell the Bruce Lee similarity from his battle cries :). WOOOOAAAAA!!! Also, even though I prefer MK:DA, has anyone ever tried Jaan Lee in DOA3? His Jeet Kune Do is the most like Bruce Lee I've ever seen in a game. It has a lot to do with the way he moves during stance really :).
Also, these Fighters are Kung Fu masters, so I am sure they have studied most styles, (Scorpion was stuck in a few realms for a long time) so I am sure they use their Favorite or most effective, plus it wouldn't be that much fun if everyone had the same styles

I saw a page about Pi Gua a while ago (someone on this board posted it) and there was a picture of a guy swinging a rope with a sharp thing at the end (much like Scorp's spear).
This may be why they chose that style for him...
