No matter how much people complain, it won't change the fact that the next Mortal Kombat is MK Vs. DC. We have to deal with that.. And while I Love MK and I love DC in their own respects, this is NOT the game I was hoping for.

HERES WHAT I WANTED--

STORY- I Wanted a game that tied up lose ends. I wanted to figured out whos story line was cannon in Armageddon. I wanted to know who died and who lived. Because Midway NEVER finished character bios for Armageddon I was hoping and expecting them to wrap up stories in MK8.

FEEL- I wanted a DARK GRITTY game that Boon promised us from the beginning! DC Characters other than Batman and Lobo are NOT dark and gritty. The fact that there wont be fatalities is horribly dissapointing. Fatalities are a staple of mortal kombat.. Without them it is an entirely different game.

GRAPHICS- I wanted to see a darker Fatality system. I wanted everyone to have their own fatalities again.. I wanted them to be Dark, bloody, and painful looking. THAT is definately something I was looking forward to on the Next Gen systems.. We wont be getting that however.. Because of the inclusion of DC characters the violence has to be toned down. I am completely Blown away that they want to give the game a T rating. That really is a slap in the face to the MK fans who love the "matureness" that embodied MK.

CHARACTERS- I wanted NEW MK characters in edition to the select few who survived Armageddon. I was hoping for new original and creative characters to premier on the Next Gen Consels.. We wont be getting that... The chances of peoples favorite characters returning are pretty slim.. unless their favorites are the 8 most recognizable MK characters. Boon said in an interview that you can pretty much guess which characters will make the cut by thinkin of which are the most popular.. So for people like me whos Favorite Character is Smoke, it looks like I will have to wait til the NEXT game comes out to possibly play as him.

GAME CROSSOVER- For years now, people have been asking for some kind of cross over.. KILLER INSTINCT. That would have been amazing. Cool interesting fighters...bloody... the kind of game that would work well with the MK universe. You wouldnt have to try and achieve a T for teen rating with that kind of game.

I guess the thing that I am most dissapointed about is that Midway and Boon never seem to care about what the fans want. Fans are always vocal about what they would like and what they think would make the next MK better. To me, ignoring all that and giving us something like MK vs DC is a slap in the face. To me that shows that he doesnt care about what people want and ask for. NO ONE ASKED FOR ANYTHING LIKE MK vs DC.

So, I didnt mean for this to be another rant post.. I just wanted to say what I was hoping for from MK8 and how this really didnt come close to meeting my expectation.

What about every one else? What was every one else expecting or hoping for from MK8?? What arent you getting that you really wanted from it?
