Because Ed Boon said there will be a lot of deception among the characters.

At first it seemed to have something to do with Baraka. But now I see that he is only the poster boy. Much like Scorpion was for MK DA. Now it must have something to do with the DK.

I'm thinking he tricked Quan into giving him the amulet and control over his old army by forming another "alliance" with him. At wich point he killed Quan and once again began to rule his army.

Because the Dragon King is really Fujin in disguise!

if the DK is reptile which i dont think he is.

but if he is the DA dont know bout it and he trying to get the amulet again and revive khan who is injured right now and make him powerful again and no longer weakened.

then in mk7 it should be a mid boss(centuar or shokan or chimera or oni)

then shao khan, then the final boss DK. that would be cool.

*Liu Kang will turn out to be Shang Tsung in a morphed state.

*Nitara will deceive Raiden, Kano and the Dragon King and then with the help of Sektor will claim a majority of the realms for the Vampire race.

These are my favourite deception speculations only.

Sub-Zero could be decieved by Frost and that would enable the Red Dragon to get close and attack him.

Baraka and Mileena had some sort of conflict in the trailer. I belive Baraka is the deceptor between them two.

The Deadly Alliance will decieve each other and that will lead to the fall of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi.

There is little known about the story, as soon as we recieve more information on the game I will try and think up of new theorys on who the deceptors are in this game.
