2) Goes back to MK3 days with shitty fatalities, with people still standing during dismemberments and the lamest fatalities in existence.

For some reason everyone hates stryker. I think he was a good fighter and liked his moves.

Stryker is a great fighter.
What would make me not buy it? Easy. If it's the same as MKDA. I already suffered through one MKDA. Another one won't be tolerated.

Mokap was meant to be a joke. Stryker was not.
Stryker was a decent game fighter. Stryker in terms of MK storyline, is the most pathetic piece of crap I've seen.

I can't find any reasons not to buy the game.

I mean it will turn in to a comic style game. I have nightmares in witch unuseless kombatants will apper in the main select screen. Simple, lame men who has nothing to do with the storyline. Or someone who was a misunderstanding, an error and asked the creators to it in the game. (I don't want to say any names) OK... the gane's name IS Mortal Kombat. In the game must be living, undead, mortals. What sense would that have if beat the guy up and simply won't die. AND THAT GOD #@&%ß FOCEWALL!!! That just simly turns me off!!!

I would by mk no matter what,once the story goes on.

idt there's anything they could do to make me not buy it... MK was one of the first games I ever played, and basically turned me into the video-gaming dork *albeit cute dork, or so it has been said* that I am today. It's one of those childhood memories things. Not really a fuzzy memory though... spine rips and spike pits and whatnot
the story is already pretty out there so that doesn't matter too, too much... perhaps if the gameplay was completely broken and became sequel after sequel (cranked out monthly just to generate money) of progressively worse combat, with every character having their own pallette swap, all with the same projectile moves that caused it to degenerate into a shooting game... but i don't see that happening
as long as I'm making crap up here, if Midway/MK Team said that I absolutely MUST buy this game and love it than I'd probably not buy it in defiance of Mortal Kombat ... heh, defiance of MK... hey... defiance... MK... MK Defiance! that's got potential as a future title! it probably means testicular cancer or something in France though...

1. If the story become so lame that anybody can fight in MK without having unique skill and style.
Ex. Say a viking or werewolf join in with the Halloween parade of MK.
2. If they ever do away with all the ninjas. IMO the ninjas are a big part of MK.
3. If they ever get real lazy again like they did with MK:DA and not push further every game to enhance the overall MK experience.
But hopefully Ed Boon knows to stick to the roots somewhat while still adding good stuff. And from the looks of it with MKD, Ed Boon does.

Lack of a decent storyline and interesting chaarcters would stop me from buying the next MK. Both are important to the series.

Im renting this first if the fatalitys are popcorn and gameplay is slow and bo still farts im not buying it. Bo= worst mk fighter ever.stryker owns him i rather have stryker in then bo.

If they add even more add-on games that have no effect on the main game and storyline.
If people's movelists for weapons are the same dispite using different weapons.
If the game is as slow as DA is and have moves that stop fights dead for a second or two eg. that nasty reversal move.
If Liu Kang or Shujinko is the main hero, and Sub-Zero isn't made one of the main chracters in the story if not the hero to prove that all this development on his story and chracter over the years wasn't for nothing.

Not even a Nuke could stop me I would walk into the store glowing all green from radiation the guy at the register is a skelton and his skins melted off. Mines just hanging there I go and grab MK lay down the money and walk out of the store.

if the only mode in the game was puzzle kombat. I would buy it under any other circumstance.

being a hardcore competetive combatants sent by Shao Khan himself...take away the "online" mode and We are gone !! we are determined to no longer having to beg mortals to put thier souls on the line for us...WE WILL NOT....BANG!(*POUNDS ON COMPUTER)..even if that means going over to that 'ole NeoGeo or SNK vs Camcom thing...or what ever that lame game x-box has on thier LIVE system
