What's a Kamidogu?

It says in Shujinko's bio that he began a quest to retrive the Kamidogu from the elder gods.
Is it some sort of weapon?
Or maybe a scroll?

well the amulet was the thing that helped quanchi make the soul nado.. so mabe thats why they call it that.. because its a puppet of souls..
