As regards to the Pit 1, I'm sure I've seen a stage that resembles it where you uppercut them onto the spikes.

Isn't the Pit 1 the stage in the IGN video called "Take that square" where Scorpion beats Sub-Zero? They're fighting on a square platform at night, there's a tower in the distance and a full moon overhead...?
