I think the Tag-Team bit was a bad idea from the get-go. They should have left Noob and Smoke to be seperate, individual fighters like before. Just my opinion tho...

The tag-team idea is cool, just not with old fan favorites like Noob and Smoke.
New characters like Kira and Kobra or Dairou and Darrius would have been better because we had no prior attachment to them.
Having said that, Noob-Smoke has some pretty badass moves.

I'd rather see Kobra and Johny Cage tag-team Jade or Tanya. Maybe a little mud wrestling.

I posted this idea before, but I think that Noob and smoke should be separate.
Have a new fighter as the tag team fighter but it's only 1 fighter.
His power would be a form of Astral Projection, but he's not limited to just that.
He has the power to duplicate and teleport, so he could do all the tag moves that Noob smoke do and then some.
Then he would have some juggle combos that include not only special moves, but a clone of him self to bounce the opponent back towards you for a longer juggle.
The clone can be like a ghost looking version of the original.
He could have a throw where there is a mob and they beat the crap out of the opponent then disappear.
Their fatality could be a new version of Scorpion's mob fatality in UMK3.

i think it should be like a possesed guy who has his normal state and his evil state and his evil state is a whole nother person

I think they should of made a real tag-team mode instead of merging Noob and Smoke or anyone else. This is all Darrius fault for existing actually. If you look at his bio vid at ign it says that he was actually the last character they came up with. Before Darrius there were only 24 playable characters with Noob and Smoke playing seperate and having three fighting styles each. Smoke's weapon I actually think used to be the gauntlets, since they just seem to fit a robot better. They could just come out of his wrists sort of like Baraka's blades when he uses them. I think they never should of created Darrius or just save him for the next game to keep Noob and Smoke seperate. Darrius isn't really liked by many anyway and just seems to be a filler for Jax.

I actually really like them together. I was never attached to Noob, he was always more of a fun gimick than a legit, good fighter. Smoke used to be good on his own, but shared too much with Scorpion (spear, teleport-type move). Together, they are much more interesting and are a tough opponant.
