If you ask me, Sonya has done nothing but lost age since MK1... either that, or the actress who played her in MK1 was THAT fucking ugly.

I cannot really imagine this game will take in between past MK games. This is a cross over, maybe not time restricted at all, who knows. And since they are gonna choose for iconic characters, there is going to be a slim to no chance at all that new characters (from past MK3 if you ask me) are gonna make the cut.

I seriously doubt that the characters looks mean anything. I wouldnt be surprised if this game takes place after MKA (there are hints about it anyway in some endings, Taven for example). The real question is wether its going to be canon or not.

If it has any place in the MK timeline I doubt it's before MKA. The ending does suggest that something like this could happen so to have it happen in a timeline before MKA doesn't make much sense. However, if the game isn't canon there may be no linking to the story. It could just be something caused by Shang or Shao screwing with the realms.

I think what they are doing is giving them their designs for when they were MOST iconic. Sonya's hat n tanktop was pretty iconic... I guess. At least that's how I picture here every time someone mentions her.

Don't judge anything by costumes because if this was taking place during MK4 then Sub and Scorp would be looking like they did back then.

This will be taking place during armgeddon and final crisis.

Maybe it wont have a "place" at all. Maybe it'll be just some random thing that happens.

Until it's known if this is canon or if Armegeddon is the cataclysm, I say we leave timelines out for a while.

It won't take place any where and is set in an alternate universe where shit is different like pretty much every other crossover ever. What makes you all think this is going to be a canon game?

Doesn't have to be canon to take place after the event. Even if it does {not saying it will} take place after MKA it could be unconnected..which would be stupid because people would think it's connected but then again this is Boon we're talking about so you never know.

Ed's constant references about him not being sure if they are going to make it canon and that it is possible for the game to be canon depending of the story they create.....I know....scary.
