When lagging
both
im sure both players expierience button loss, most commonly when you block something. you let go of block and press the attack button and nothing comes out.
this happens 75% of the time, hence why online is not even playable at a high enough of level to be competing.
air cancels is further proof. but thank god for 33, at least it makes the game somewhat competitive thru that bullshit lag., still without the use of wall/wall damage though. sad.
but to answer your question, its always a little worse for one person, but the general lag is the same for both. biggest difference for me is i cant even host when i play because its too laggy no matter who i play. offline that is not the case, obviously.

Agreed 100%.
I did just upgrage from 3 to 6 Mb/s and its fuckin great. PS2 still lags a little but Xbox has NO LAG. I can jump away from scorp's 1, hellfire EVERYTIME. Its almost like offline.
btw I don't know why people use 1 instead of 2 when 2 is safer...

I noticed that Havik takes an ETERNITY to block after doing 3 in weapon. Is that due to lag or does it happen offline too?

I'm pretty sure Havik's weapon 3 was "meant" to be very punishable. Just like Noob's 4, Kabal/Mavado's U+4, and Sareena's FF1. But online, certain people can whore these moves and not think twice about it. These are just SOME of the "popular" whore moves. But some people get away with sodomy online (gross reference, I know).
3 on havik's Cs is very unsafe.
So if u want your oponent in the air. u can try 1 on his Cs which is pretty safe, and leads to a free throw, just dont throw again with F3 on his first stance.
On topic : my lag is pretty amazing...and it affects me in ways inimaginable. Every single move i throw is unsafe. So i basically luck out on people that think the move i do is safe and they refrein to hitting me because they think ima punish them...which is complete bollocks...and iam just that lucky to bew fighting people that dont know =D.
Basically, if my opponent is any good, lets say better than Azuro...then i pretty much stand no chance of defeating him...cuz u could just turtle and block my moves...then counter. btw, if u decide to turtle...make sure its not abusing....cuz thats just really gay when iam there trying and ur just there laughing at me.
Oh 1 more thing. U know 11Cs with Drahmin is safe right? WELL WRONG!! IT AINT WHEN IAM USING IT!

Oh and heres the best one yet. if u throw knives really fast with Sareena...i wont be able to do shit but stand there so u can block damage me withe the knives....thats why i love turtle sareena...=.=.

A lot of the moves on MKA have no-block periods, where you can't block at all. Moves like Havik's F3, Tanya's YC 2, and plenty others have a no-block period. It's only approximately 1/2-1 second for the most part, with the exception of TSD. This even applies to some character's weapon uppercuts, like Havik's, Jarek/Ermac's or Kobra/Ashrah's. But with the lag online, you either push the opponent very far back or you can recover fast enough to jump backwards.
Speaking of lagging, how many people here know of grabbing during discos/screwy camera moments to fix them? The only people I know of that have any idea of this are myself, my brother, and Bone.

I just remember back in MKD you could spam 3 with Havik's weapon and block right after it. It was almost like Scorpion's F+1.

yes grabbing during a bad camera angle will fix it. I do this all the time on xbox.
I am gonna give a lag example:
Kenshi
u2, cs, 2, 2 cs, 224. does about 44% damage.
But if i wait a millisecond too long before i do the 224, it won't connect. This is because they are falling faster then my screen shows me. Now this is not a one person deal. With every person i fight they fall faster in the air then my screen shows.
Another example:
Ermac, kenshi, shujinko. What do they have in common? tele-slam!
Jump back and buffer teleslam and it shows up on my screen as almost in the air. What i see is that they just land faster and start their attack quicker. Wheni play pighut i fall for this all the time because i CANNOT anticipate it. Frustration!
But just jump with them and catch them in the air i guess. For me...My enemy falls faster out of the air.

11f3 i start at the peak of there height in the air or it wiffs.

that sounds good x-box ...but i always wondered this ! can i use the adapter for the x-box and 360 that can equip the ps2 controller so that i dont have to use the boxes controllers / and will it work timingly as the ps2 controller does on its own platform ? i'll explain ...i feel a certain lag with th ebox controllers its just me personally ...maybe there is no truth to that but its just how I feel.
